Btw, your mother said to say hello. Saw her at the ND game. She wanted to know if you've been behaving on the board. :)

Ha!

I think I've been behaving, don't you?

You always do.

My family and I have been making substantial contributions to the Program for more than forty years.

My family recently endowed a Football Scholarship in honor of my father.

And between us, we have had season tickets since the 1940s.

A very sincere thanks for your contribution to make our program successful.

I like it, youre throwing my argument style back at me...agree with the point and spin...you've learned much grasshopper, but not all.

problem, is Syracuse is Coca-Cola Classic of the northeast and has branding across the US. unless you don't care about Ben, Big Jim, Floyd, Ernie, Monk, Joe Morris, Mac, Mc, Johnston, etc...and don't know that we call ourselves the ORANGE.

therefore, you don't reboot with a new color scheme.

when some loud braggart tries to put me down
and says his school is great
I tell him right away...
Now what's the matter buddy
ain't you heard of my school
it's number one in the state

I feel like I'm required to chime in, since I work for Coke.

1). Changing the packaging is not changing the brand.
2). Syracuse is recruiting 17 year old males. If you're looking at target demographics, Sprite would be a better analogy than Classic and take a look at what we did there:

I can read those cans better than I can read the numbers on our unis.

But in your example, you did change the brand.

None of those are 'classic' Sprite.

Looks like they changed the taste of the best tasting carbonated beverage to me

Uniforms are just packaging. And even Classic changed its uniform for 2 years.
Share a Coke was a huge success.

Changing our damn uniforms doesn't mean we aren't still the Syracuse Orange.

Im fairly positive you will not allow me to get the last word. You will come up with some half baked retort, therefore, I will leave now before I have to read it.

My retort is I haven clue what your point is.

The Syracuse ORANGE wearing all blue or gray, is just wrong.

Winning and getting to the next level are what attract the 17 year old.

Put milk in the Sprite can and few 17 year old kids are attracted to the product.

I could live with the numbers if they put a damn white outline around the orange on our home jerseys. They're practically illegible on TV.

Can't see them from the stands either.

you should be on the fan advisory board or whatever they call it. you have the roots to the past, know the evolution to the current state of the program, and have the eye on the future. the program needs you. i have said this in the past before i ever knew what you just posted.

i have never been syracuse orange and do not buy anything that says syracuse orange. i am and always will be an orangeman(orangemen)

Same here. We will always be the Syracuse Orangemen.

I don't know, the Syracuse Sprites is growing on me.

BTW, didn't like the Silver Helmets yesterday, not one bit.

Made us look like OSU.

Since SU is the Oregon of Lacrosse for Nike I guess that's part of the deal.

What we're wearing during spring practice is better than our 2015 game uni's. There, I said it.

Screw it all and let's bring back the Saltine Warrior.

Such a flattering depiction.

It's a Cascade thing. They just debuted the new chrome R helmets, with the the alternate design being a carbon fiber look. All the Cascade teams have one or the other this season I believe. Albany wore them in our game with them.
