What exactly is the problem?

Should Kentucky have been paired with UVA then?

Kentucky had a win against Louisville, Providence and Tennessee. They had no other wins over Tourney teams, got swept by Arkansas, lost to LSU/South Carolina and had 10 losses coming in. They were probably lucky to get an 8 seed.

If Kentucky had lived up to their hype all year they wouldn't be in this situation.

They already beat Louisville earlier this season and I wouldn't bet against them again. Their athleticism and size is going to give Louisville a big problem. Smith will have a matchup problem with the Harrisons. KU will force Smith right into their big shot blockers.
