Scott, you're a good guy, we like and trust you because of your work under Doug. Your offensive staff is grossly incompetent and unfortunately your defense can't hold the entire game. While we have issues with your DC (Georgia Tech, NU, etc), these glaring deficiencies pale in comparison to the absolute s*** show that is your offensive staff.

For your sake, and ours, please fire your friends. Your fan base is shaken thanks to the Robinson era, and frankly, we don't trust you. We want to, but we don't. I'd kill to make your salary, and I know if I ever make that much money I wont let my friends get me fired. We know you love Syracuse (the University and the community). We deserve better than what you've given us.

Until you fire your incompetent offensive staff don't you dare complain about the lack of attendance at the Carrier Dome. To this end, I'll be at the Duke game, spending money I don't really have, to watch you play.

Go Orange.

Yes. He may be a good recruiter but he's an abysmal offensive coordinator.

He's got to go.

McDonald has not brought in elite talent either. He has been an okay recruiter but not a guy where even if he stays his recruits talent would save his job.

Shafer has not proven he is even that good a coach. What is sad is that even if I feel he isn't the answer we can not fire him.

I agree that GM is over-rated as a recruiter and a terrible OC. Feels like the GRob days...

Even if he were the recruiter he was supposed to be, he doesn't deserve to be OC. This is a joke right now. I feel like I'm watching the 7th and goal offense against Iowa. With all the talk in the offseason this is a joke.

McDonald is a freaking joke. He absolutely has got to go. Immediately. Let's take the hit in recruiting this year and just get someone in here who can run a freaking offense.

we need to stick behind the kids and can't give up on the team. hang in there, i hope shaf rights the ship.

This is entirely on HCSS. It is his job to make sure he has the staff that can get the job done. He needs to be hardnosed himself and get his staff and team to be as successful as possible. I hope he does make some changes because something has to change.

I am with the team. I'm going to spend over $1000 the weekend of the Duke game. I'm going to watch every game. I am no longer with George McDonald.

Heck, I'd take Charlie Weiss calling plays over McDonald at this point and that's crazy talk. Or bourbon talk for that matter.

They have it half right. The defense is damn good. They need to bring in a proven offensive coordinator. They have a lot more money to play with. Now get serious and bring in a real OC.

I agree he needs to go but do we have anyone in house to step up? If he's let go tomorrow (which won't happen) who are you plugging in?

Yeah, it has nothing to do with the kids in this thread.

I've always been a guy who said "the coaches aren't the ones out there throwing the passes and dropping the completions and missing blocks" but honestly, the coaches have a responsibility to put the players in a position to succeed. That is their entire freaking job. And our coaches just aren't cutting it in that regard right now, particularly McDonald.

Let Lester finish out the year calling plays. Bring someone in in the off season.

I commend you sir. And I am leaning towards a real dislike of mcd.

Didn't Lester call plays at the end of last year?

Louisville does have a very good defense.

But the lack of discipline, understanding of TOs, execution, etc. transcended the OC. It's on the leader of the program. And that's what scares me.

I started at SU in the fall of 00. Didn't start caring about SU football until fall of 05. I became a huge SU football fan in the fall of 2005. Let that sink in. I am with this team. Everyone on this board is with the team.

You might be right. Doug leaving was bad enough, but leaving when he did ***** us. Scott winning a bowl last year placated us.
