One thing I can assure you of, melo will be the center of fundraising next year. So everyone should be very excited about what he is going to bring to help with getting kids. And I agree with you on PG front btw
As Yoda would say. “No. There is Another.”

LaLa is worth something like 30 million too. You think Melo wants to see his kid succeed.

You just wait until what Mom is gonna do for him. I think I heard her say on the podcast reveal show something along the lines that if someone messes with Kiyan she’ll them up.

There’s prob close to 200 million in that family and even better they are just a skip up on the jet.

Phil - don’t know why you keep saying the same thing over and over. Dakota was the plan. He committed. He backed out. Carlos was plan B. You act like this has been going on for decades with Red. JJ will play point soon like I said even months ago. Choppa needed to prove he can excel in key situations and he earned a lot of trust in Cornell game. Let’s see what happens the next 5 games

Carlos committed before Leffew went to UGa unless you are saying the staff knew Leffew was gone, which goes against what everyone was saying in the Leffew thread at the time

Here’s a post that suggests Leffew was going to basically spilt time with Carlos.

So what’s the spin we’re going to stick with?

Let me track back a bit — I like Luke. I think he wi be good. But I would also like a seasoned PG, but maybe Luke is that guy since he’s playing pro ball.

My 0.02 is I think center is generally overrated in college outside the very top guys.

So give me wings and guards.

Just a note to be clear - I’m v happy with Reds high school guys/Luke coming in. Just cannot roll the dice as our only true lead guard.
I don't disagree if we can get a plug in point guard great, but if not would rather roll with the young guys.

Next Years Forward Room
-Sadiq, Petar

It's pretty clear a center should be option #1 although I do think it's important to bring a PG in

Well, pretty light on forwards too.

Hey, SU is paying SU. It's an accounting trick.
If that's their excuse for not investing the program again, like they did in the 1970s, well, I'm not buying.
That is a self-inflicted wound.
If you want people to keep giving money, and paying money to come to games, you have to care, and you have to compete.
If you don't intend to compete, then don't ask us to pay attention. Don't ask us to keep caring.
All of the sports revenues go into the pot to pay for the other sports. They are not independent from each other.

Love the optimism of folks listing Chance as a viable option. Hope it happens, but history is not on his side.

Frustrated Headache GIF by Kelly Clarkson

Is that change due to Lampkin or due to not being in a 2-3 zone 95% of the time?
We didn’t play much zone last year and our rebounding was still bad! It’s leaps and
Bounds better this year with Eddie, Donnie and Davis.

Here we go again. Just like Carlos was the savior for this season, right? I’d rather go for a proven stud PG in the portal.
Stud PGs don’t grow on trees. Roach was one of the top PGs in the portal, and he’s not even all that great and Baylor’s fourth or fifth leading scorer. And I think it’ll be hard to land a guy like Kadary.

Okay, fair enough. But you still don't need a 5-star center to grab rebounds. Generally, the difference between a star center and average one is offensive abilities. So if we are short in NIL, which we keep hearing, why splurge on a Range Rover at C, when you just need an F150?

Yup. Take a big man from a smaller league and save the nil for an impact starter
