Pretty damn good out there. He’s definitely not playing like a freshman. I hope he comes back next year and isn’t drafted on potential alone if his numbers drop off. He would be a huge piece of the puzzle going into next year.

He could dominate next year if he came back. Could be an elite rebounder and a good scorer.

He seems to be settling in. Think the three point shooting was Fools Gold tonight. His D and finishing in traffic is a work in progress. He's better on the glass than I expected. Can't wait to see how his game has evolved later this year.

He was listed at #70 in Givony's draft board yesterday, certainly not out of the question

His last basket, the tip in finger roll, was elite athleticism on display. We haven’t had that in a long time.
He needs to realize he is the best player on the team, and will often be the most talented guy on the floor, and really assert himself on both ends.

If he’s looking like a first rounder by season’s end then he needs to go to the NBA — even if it’s just based on potential alone. I’ll never forget how Paul Harris never had higher draft stock than after Freshman year, even though it was only based on potential.

Wasn't Harris before Freshman year when they eliminated the straight to the pro path for high schoolers? Either way I totally get your point and agree with it. Only caveat is this draft looks stacked.

I hope last night wasn’t fools gold. Red has been trying to get Donnie to stop jacking up threes. He’s been bad for several games. Last night he made four in a row from straight on after being left wide open. He’s strength is getting near the basket and to continue to move to the open spots. He’s not at his best when he hangs out at the three point line. Kudos for him last night knocking down those shots. They were all big shots.

He shouldn't focus on them, like it seemed Quincy Guerrier eventually did, but if they are there in rhythm I am okay with him taking them. We need all the help we can get shooting the 3.

If Freeman is open and it comes within the flow of whatever offense we are trying to run I don't mind him putting up a couple of threes a game. Will he be as good as yesterday every game no will he be as bad as he has been probably not. As long as he isn't jacking up quick 3s and still works down low I don't mind a couple a game.

Freeman is shooting better than JJ, Bell, Carlos, and Taylor from 3. He seems to have a good stroke when his feet are set, definitely strong enough to take the open shot if it is there. But I agree with the concern that he may end up falling in love with the perimeter and that isn't where his best potential lies.

Highly doubt Freeman comes back. But Choppa at the 2, Sadiq at the 3 and Freeman at the 4. When’s the last time we had a trio that athletic and good. Kiyan off the bench. The Australian PG might start next year. Just need a BIG.

I really think Choppa is an elite scorer and he might average 18-20 ppg next year. He’s an elite shotmaker, on all three levels. I truly believe that

I suspect we'll go

Luke/vet portal PG at the 1
Choppa at the 2
Kiyan at the 3
Saddiq at the 4
Petar/vet portal big at the 5

I think Choppa has All-ACC level potential. If we start Sadiq/Freeman at the 3/4 spot, we'd probably want a PG who can shoot 3s and/or a center who can shoot 3s. Sadiq's game right now is mostly athletic dunks and playing close to the basket.

Luke/Moore/Kiyan/Saddiq/Petar is not winning any national championships. We need to do better. Splurge on an elite PG, and get a solid starting center. Luke and Petar off the bench. Kiyan probably should come off the bench too, so get a high end wing too.

better chance of Kiyan starting at the 3 then Sadiq.. Sadiq had zero 3 man skills at this point

I can't disagree.

Tankathon already has Freeman @ 35, just outside Round 1.

If he can keep hitting treys he moves up into the first round and is gonzo for sure.

If yesterday's 4 for 4 turns out to be an aberration maybe there is an outside chance he stays and tries to play himself into the lottery.
