Class of 2019 G Dyaisha Fair (NY) Transferring from Buffalo to Syracuse

Sue Bird is the greatest lead guard and there isn't even a comparison.

In your opinion.

No offense, but it is debatable, and Staley is certainly in the conversation. Whether she is or not or where she ranks is all subjective.

Also -- eph uconn.

Dawn isn't
even listed in the top 25 of all time in the WNBA list. That's not my opinion but all the experts who know a lot more then you or I think so.

That's because she was old when the WNBA commenced, toward the tail end of her career (I think she only played five or six years in the WNBA, although could be wrong). She was one of the elder statesmen who helped kick off that league when it started.

That list is zero correlation to how good she was in her prime.

Enough already No one said she wasn't a great player or coach. She was and is.
By the way she was our last Olympic coach and who were the 2 players who she played the most in the games. Stewie at 32 minutes a game and Sue Bird at 24.9, the next most minutes were A'ja at 23.4, the only other player who played 20 + minutes was Griner at 22.1.
So either Dawn thinks Sue is the best as a coach or you are arguing with Dawn.

What is she supposed to do, play herself when she's the coach, in her late 40s, and not actually one of the players on the team?

You're referencing strange, conflated evidence.

But okay -- not worth arguing about either way. Agree to disagree, have a good weekend.

Some of the players I mentioned have been 2 or 3 times MVP in the WNBA a much higher level of play. Maya was 4 times player of the year in college, and has been MVP in the WNBA.
Dawn was a good player, but no where near the level of the all time greats.
Geno has 11 championships, Pat has 8.
Dawn needs to win a few more to be in the conversation. She is among the best of all time because she has won 2.
Kids call about 30 people GOAT’s. You’re being very literal with the interpretation. Even then, Staley is in the conversation. Moore was not 4x national player of the year. Where are you getting that?

No visits last weekend. She deleted the Baylor visit posts from her Instagram and no posts from her Miami visit. Only visit post is S. Carolina.

I get the feeling that she has been wait listed at these schools, or was never formally offered. They are all getting a lot of interest from other players and I am not sure there is room at any of them for DF.

We are pretty well stocked with guards now but I suspect HCFLJ would find a spot for her if she decided she wanted to come home to finish her college career.

I would guess South Carolina.

think that's your answer, if it was SU, we would have known already
She isn't looking for the CAB, someone else said she wants to win a Championship. South Carolina, Stanford, and Connecticut are the only 3 viable candidates for next year.
And none of the 3 are a guarantee, strange things happen in the women's tournament.

I can understand her wanting to contend for a championship, who wouldn’t but personally I’d want to go where I know that I’d be a key piece and a difference maker for my team in achieving it. Well I hope she’s happy with whatever her choice ends up being.

Those that are sure of themselves believe they can be a key piece no matter what the situation. I don’t know if this young woman has that type of ability that would translate at South Carolina, but her numbers suggest that she does. Whether that means starting and averaging 20 or being a sixth person and averaging 8-12, I don’t know.

South Carolina fans arguing over whether she is going there and what her role might be if she does.

Fair liked it when a South Carolina fan tweeted a chicken emoji at her shortly after she announced she was committing soon.

That seemed to get things rolling.

Another SoCarolina player just entered portal..feels like Dawn is pushing out those bench reserves she praised at championship so she can add top portal players.

Just seen this posted on my feed and was rushing to post, but swoop beat me to it haha. I know dats riteeee Dyaisha! Excellent choice. If she would have went to SC, Dawn would have done the exact same thing she did to Kamilla this season, to her, and it would have ruined her chances at showcasing her talents for the WNBA. Glad she seen through all the smoke and mirrors and decided to come to 'Cuse. Let's gooooo!
