Hey, if we lose a couple of games 42-35 because our “young” secondary gets torched, I for one will live with it. It’s all on the O line and the offense - keep the D off the field, let them rest while scoring some points from sustained drives, and let’s see where that gets us.

Thank goodness our defensive lineman decided to come back this year. Our d-line would be in serious trouble without them.

I hope we use Cantin-Arku as a rush OLB on passing downs. Like Chan Jones on the Cardinals plays (although he stays on the field for the majority of snaps).

Anyone surprised to see Hanna at Rover? I thought that would maybe be carter or a bigger more physical safety. To me it would seem you want an athletic safety/LB hybrid guy to start there.

I'm surprised and very concerned. I figured Simmons or Coley would be starting somewhere over Hanna. I love our DB's, but boy...rover and free safety are a bit of a concern as i see it.

I am not cocerned with Labrosse. Dude is an athlete. Also, as a Canadian he's a year older than most in his class, he's turning 22 in a couple months.

LaBrosse is a stud and looks like his added mass to match his hitting attitude. Simmons will play plenty I'm sure possibly along side vs in place of LaBrosse

Him starting doesn't concern me. He started last year. He didn't really get run over due to his size that i can remember. He just likely won't start all year playing at that size. We have a few back-up safeties that should be able to fill in without really any drop off in Barron, Simmons and Coley.

Our defense is incredibly young. Almost scary they are so young. Hopefully it’s a good crop.

Our whole starting 22 is young. That said, did everyone keep their previous year designation due to the "free year" thing? How is Hanna just a Freshman when he played last season?

I'm not. I imagine he's going to cover the slot and the safety will be the run stopper. Hanna does fly all over the place though certainly hits bigger than his 170.

I would guess no, but half of those guys aren’t really freshmen or rs frosh. Garrett has been on campus for 3 years and is still a frosh be it red shirt, same with nunn, and some others.
given that the db’s are still quite young! So point is valid.
