Purdue can get to 35. Your O is good too though, so they better be sure they don’t lose 42-35. I’m watching the Louisville game and it’s hard to tell because they suck bad but your QB and RB are nobody’s chump

You should re-read your post, it sounded like your were describing the 2021 Georgia defense, 4 stars everywhere on the D-line and an entire secondary that will be drafted. Thats Georgia/Bama level talent. PSU's highest rated secondary guy is a third rounder as another poster pointed out.

Yes both teams have playermakers and I think either could win. Purdue probably has the better overall passing game when you look at the receivers but SU's run game is clearly better. SU clearly doesn't have a d-line on teh level as PSU and that could hurt SU if we can't get pressure on the QB. SU should be able to run the ball but to what extent, unclear. MOst expect a close game, I wouldn't be shocked one bit if Purdue won a high scoring game nor would 90% of this board.

We will see where both are drafted. Porter looks much improved from the player I saw in games last year. I don’t think our outside receivers will be where this game happens though

Your DL may be explosive for their size. Penn states is explosive for having very large size. The idea that you won’t have players they have to commit to the LOS is just wishing.

Our starting DEs have no burst to the QB. Either nic caraway will have to continue to progress or our back seven better be ready for a fight.

Penn state lined up with big explosive four star DL all over the place. If your NT was PJ mustipher and you had chop robinson, Isaac etc I’d be worried. Penn states entire secondary was as good as your corners, Joey porter is better than Anyone on your defense and their DL is was big, explosive and not far off their secondary.

That’s an entire defense as good as your corners and linebackers. If Syracuse roster was Purdue’s roster I’d be saying the same thing.

If you aren’t arguing that then there’s no issue with what I think will be the turning point of the game. When your DL creates a vacuum, even equivalent secondaries will be far more stressed because they have to do a lot more.

I know no one on your defense. And the only teams that seem to succeed in the Big 10 West are Iowa, Wisconsin, and Northwestern in previous even numbered years. So.

Dude its not a straw man,. your a Purdue fan who keeps bringing up PSU's defense and d-line as example of how SU will struggle and keep acting like they have a top 5 defense in th country.

PSU is a slightly above average team who wasn't even ranked last week. If you think our DL is going to be an issue thats fine you can just say that without this biarre comparison to Penn State where your esentially jizzing over their defense. Most of us think our D-line is going to be an issue against the tougher opponents on our schedule you can see it mentioned in numerous posts going back to the summer. I think I have said it 2 or 3 times in this thread that our D-line isn't Penn States, not sure how many more ways I can say that. As for Illinois, we know all about that QB, trust me it wouldn't be a struggle.
