I hope our new GM has connections oversees. A lot of talent over there.
Ah no... Wes was a freak athlete. Ryan was a lumbering 3 man. Solid player. More Todd Burgan. No Wes at all.He was Wes Johnson before Wes Johnson.
He seems to be making a mark as a coach. Successful at Liverpool leading to a NYS championship as head coach.
I’m very intrigued about AO. I love seeing a big man coach big men, and former forwards coaching forwards.
Having guards coach and develop big men hasn’t worked for the past decade.
He was not Wes Johnson. Wes had game.He was Wes Johnson before Wes Johnson.

More along the lines of a 6-7 forward that transferred to SU from a midwestern P5 school. Wes was clearly better, but Blackwell had a good career at SU.Ah no... Wes was a freak athlete. Ryan was a lumbering 3 man. Solid player. More Todd Burgan. No Wes at all.
I think that’s a given. Look at what Doty has said about playing his entire career for GMac.BTW,,,how about bringing the Fulton guy too
Blackwell? Wes Johnson?...huh? He was okay and close to good. Wes -;who I thought was a little overrated - was multiple layers better than Blackwell. He was Wes Johnson before Wes Johnson.

Really not true about Blackwell. He was a big body finesse player and some people couldn't understand that..He was awful as a player. Lazy
Doty was out of Sienna one way or another after this season. Somebody would have offered him a bag he could not resist.I think that’s a given. Look at what Doty has said about playing his entire career for GMac.
He was so frustrating to watch. Not physical, lazy.Really not true about Blackwell. He was a big body finesse player and some people couldn't understand that.
He was a smooth big bodied finesse player. He wasn't lazy, just played under control.
Yeah, he’s definitely earned his payday.Doty was out of Sienna one way or another after this season. Somebody would have offered him a bag he could not resist.
Not physical doesn't mean lazy. You are conflating the two.He was so frustrating to watch. Not physical, lazy.
I’m on board.BTW,,,how about bringing the Fulton guy too
dc also taught todd bergan during the final 4. told him in the hotel pregame that "if you play soft, I'm gonna kick your ass".You need someone for your bigs who has played as a forward and center and defended at both positions. Someone who can teach how to play at the high post. Bring DC in as a special assistant he taught AO, and Rick Jackson at the Big East tournament how to seal their defender, and get the entry pass.
He knows how to play the game, and when healthy was as good as anyone in the NBA.
And I'm sure even after all these years he hasn't mellowed to the point where if you don't give 100% effort he wouldn't get angry.
That would be Gerry 's bad cop.
I don't think DC needs to be one of the regular assistants, just a special person to have around for practices and maybe halftime adjustments for the bigs. He knows how the bigs should react in situations both offensively, and defensively. He lived it, his entire life. Gerry needs all hands on deck, he can't afford to fail.dc also taught todd bergan during the final 4. told him in the hotel pregame that "if you play soft, I'm gonna kick your ass".
DC, the same guy who has trashed our players online?I don't think DC needs to be one of the regular assistants, just a special person to have around for practices and maybe halftime adjustments for the bigs. So give him all the help he can get, DC like Gerry hates to lose.
How about we just get proven coaches? Enough with the former SU players that played the position as potential first time assistants.I don't think DC needs to be one of the regular assistants, just a special person to have around for practices and maybe halftime adjustments for the bigs. That ship has sailed.I know his letter was cringy, but I'd take Kline as GM over Hop or Warrick
TBT is a strange thing to coach. A bunch of random players playing together for a few games. Not easy to plan any strategy around that scenario. Was not impressed with him in TBT but otherwise know nothing about him. Was before my earliest memories as a cuse fan
Because he hates watching his school lose because they aren't playing the way they should. And most of the players the last 3 years deserved the criticism for not playing well. That's a big part of the reason Red got let go.DC, the same guy who has trashed our players online?
I always thought of him as a poor man's Billy Owens. Could a little bit of everything, but -unlike Billy- nothing exceptional.Ah no... Wes was a freak athlete. Ryan was a lumbering 3 man. Solid player. More Todd Burgan. No Wes at all.
Doty was going wherever Gmac was. If he stayed at Siena he probably would've stayed but definitely would've been hard considering the offers that would be coming his way. I know for a fact he loves Gmac and his dream scenario just happened. The family has to be pretty excited right now.Doty was out of Sienna one way or another after this season. Somebody would have offered him a bag he could not resist.
