Maybe more realistic - Mark Schmidt? The way he got let go makes me think he’s not ready to be done coaching. Would be nice to give Gerry a veteran presence to help him learn.

What? He was actually pretty good as a player. Glue guy plus a little bit. The ‘99-00 team was very underrated. A bit erratic but had potential to win the whole thing. Would kill for a team that level now.

The Albany paper says Ben Lee is a great recruiter.

His staff is going to recruit an entirely different player. They will be going against the best. At the MAAC level you’re looking for sleepers that were missed by the bigger schools. You also don’t need as much size.

He was Wes Johnson before Wes Johnson.

He seems to be making a mark as a coach. Successful at Liverpool leading to a NYS championship as head coach.

I’m very intrigued about AO. I love seeing a big man coach big men, and former forwards coaching forwards.

Having guards coach and develop big men hasn’t worked for the past decade.
