Gerry Staff Predictions…

Devo and AO would be the only SU guys I’d want on staff. If you look at peer programs, we should be adding at least 2 more full time assistants than we had last year (not including Pete C) if we want to be competitive. Many have 5 or 6 total. Gmac would also be wise to hire a young offensive mastermind who knows how to design a modern, fast paced offensive system using analytics and lots of motion.

The board is in denial that we are at a recruiting disadvantage in the ACC. To be clear, we had no choice. Sometimes reality bites and there are no good options.

If a player is offered by Duke or N Carolina we cannot compete. In the BE we could compete with anyone.
We need to get to the point where we can get the top kids from the Northeast. There are still almost always two or three Northeast schools in the top-25. We need to win recruiting battles with the St. Johns, Villanova, Providences, etc of the world more often than not.

Jason Hart hired by SMU. Speaking of recruiting challenges

And the thing is, it shouldn't be that difficult. There are some really great offensive teams in CBB and the NBA that you can look at what they are doing to emulate. You don't have to reinvent the wheel but you do need to get the right horses.

It can't be a square peg/round hole thing. Red never had the right horses to do anything right.

We successfully competed with everyone. I followed recruiting for 56 years. Many of the top players consistently considered us. Our results spoke for themselves. They no longer consider us. The difference between Duke and Cuse is now night and day. It used to be a lot closer. That is what I am talking about. We were a contender. In the ACC we are a pretender. Surprising how many fans live in a fantasy world. Easy to blame it on JB and ignore reality.

In the "Pre-NIL" days, we competed with everybody.

Here's the new reality: Duke and UNC have $10's of millions of NIL bucks to spread around every year and we don't.

Would it make you happy if we returned to the Big East, and UConn, St John's and Providence outspent us?

Why post fake stuff? Obviously it's not true.
You should also post the article about the girl who's car broke down and Donovan Freeman picked her up and gave her a ride home. Then the next day he bought her a new car.
Then there was also the article about the girl who's car broke down and Kiyan Anthony picked her and gave her a ride home. Then the next day he bought her a new car.
Or the article where Jim Boeheim had brain cancer, but the next day he was on the road as a commentator at an ACC game...
Don’t forget the 420 different athletes who are donating half their salary to homeless people

Pre-NIL days was straight cash for play. If pressed, we would get outbid. Still, we did well as there were also fewer players in the game. Big Monday and the Dome was a great sweetener when it came to bidding.
