Beating Binghamton doesn't mean much, but it sure beats playing a close game or losing!

The challenge for Syracuse making the tournament this year is that it appears the ACC will not be a strong conference this year. Obviously, this can change as OOC games are played, but Syracuse only has 4 games against currently ranked ACC schools. Yes, playing ranked Houston, Kansas, and Tennessee will help Syracuse, but the rest of the OOC schedule is not very good which will hurt strength of schedule.
Well, then, there’s nothing for it but to win win win win.

my own personal goals for this years squad are :
1. ranked in the top 25 a good part of the season
2. play in the ACCT championship game.

two things that haven't happened in a long long time. accomplish those feats and i'm happy.

Agree with those, and definitely add: Make the NCAA tournament. That is goal number 1 for me.

I agree, but as a previous post win the ACC tournament and get the Automatic bid. Then win 3 or 4 games in the NCAA tournament. That way we announce we are back.

just to be clear BB . don't care if we win the ACC tournament. just play in the finals and i'm cool.
that's progress. and as opposed to the final boeheim years it is indeed tremendous progress.
a worthy feat . a new direction. can you even imagine ...Syracuse finally relevant in our own conference.

Still early to predict. If the defense comes to play against the higher ranked teams, then it is a strong possibility. Beating OOC cupcakes is better than losing to them but the proof will be when we play ranked teams and then in conference games. Defense intensity, ball movement minimizing turnovers, strong post play and more than one player having Standout performances will be the defining factors.

My concerns are the physicality of the game when we face teams with strong aggressive players and how we play when Freeman or Kyle or George are in foul trouble. How will the next player up perform?
