Hunt just won the job if Shafer has a brain**

I don't care who plays qb as long as we win but a td against a second team d in garbage time do not make a career.
Dude we're talking about beating out a poor man's troy Nunez here. I'm not talking hunt heisman here

If we're going to do something like that, might as well do it now.

I have no love for drew allen. I hoped Hunt would win the job. He choose us first. It's just that the head coach watched these guys practice every day and decided Allen was better. Does one series change that? Quite frankly, we are better off with Hunt because he can improve and be here next year and the year after. But if it is that close, why Allen in the first place?

You're ignoring Allen's performance.

whats allens assist to td ratio? is it bad enough to warrant bench time ?
for a moment i thought allen was playing volleyball without a net today-lots of spike attempts by northwestern

I have seen no reason for Allen to play anymore. No matter how much better he looked in spring practice he can not look worse in the games.

The problem I have with all 6 of his picks is that if I remember correctly that they were all bad throws, not mishandles or tips by the opposing D

Must go with next man up.

It's not impossible to play them both. It seemed to work for Northwestern tonight. Two totally different styles.

Some were tips - but some were thrown right to the defenders chest.

we dont call them picks or interceptions - they are assists :bang:

He shouldn't get more time because the offense scored when he was in there; he should play because he makes quick decisions and Allen does not. Almost everything he does seems to be in slow motion.

I'm not saying its Hunt's job 100%, but he does deserve more legitimate looks with the first team.

Now, about that defense...

Two different styles but each one is so distinct. It would be so obvious.

Hunt TD run is what i was trying to tell people. Hunt is hard to bring down. He is elusive enough to make things happen. He may not be straight ahead fast but his running ability can add a dimension to the offense and help with consistency
