It's probably somewhere in this thread, but I just realized that by starting his 5th year, Dino is our longest tenured coach since P.

Not a great start to year 5, and there can of course be concerns when you voluntarily change both of your coordinators after year 4.

But we have to stick with the plan. Recruiting is picking up, and this is just not an easy place to recruit. No talent around us really makes it a tough job. I'm hopeful the re-vamped Dome will help recruiting as well.

Some of Dino's anecdotes are getting a little tiring, I will say (belief without evidence is great in the beginning, but it's year 5). But our best bet is to stay the course.

LOVED what I saw from the D today. We get anything from the O, and I think those guys could have sustained all 4 quarters.

I'm concerned, like others, that DeVito is more of a lab QB that does a couple of things really well, but you need more than that to win at Syracuse. He's still the best we have this year.

The one thing I don't need to think about anymore, is Dino leaving us for a bigger job. The bloom is off that rose. If he were to get it back after next season, he'll be 61, does he really want to start over somewhere else?

Dino needs to find a saddle.

Clearly 2018 was outstanding but its looking more and more like an outlier. Were in year 5 still making the same mistakes over and over and over.

Zero discipline, same pre snap and dumb penalties and clock management that would make Coach P and Deleone blush. Coordinators changed but offense is just as bad and we still have no idea how to run an offense in the red zone or manage the clock. QB is barren besides Devito and despite a pass heavy offense its been beyond a struggle to get a 4 star QB or WR to come on board.

Not calling for Babers to be let go that's crazy but its a real bad sign in my mind that were seeing the same issues yet again.

I will add this, we recruit a decent QB but fail to develope a line to protect him. Tommy has been here what, 4 years, and we have an O line that is dysfunctional.

Pitts a middle of the pack ACC team where as UNC theoretically may challenge Clemson (if anyone can outside ND). Yes we suck at Pitt, historically, but a crowdless game in late september’s the best we could ask for.

This O needs a physical WR who can go up and get the ball. We haven’t had that the last three seasons. We should have had guys lining up given those numbers the first two years. Yet we still can’t find that guy.

Right on and we can't develop wrs to even play within the system. There was a noticeable difference with our O size vs their D size today and its concerning. Size isn't everything unless you are <4.4. But that isn't the case. Ok, fine. We do have some athletes, but the play calling on O is atrocious.

He’s really really bad. Sampson not making it to campus sucked. In fact, throughout the Dino era the interior OL has been really bad, hence all the goal line struggles.

It’s really sobering that the only red zone offensive success came when Dungey bulked up and put the team on his shoulders.

What we are seeing is the result of awful recruiting for the offense. Misses on the OL, no home run threat at WR and a QB who seems like a great kid but i just don’t know if he has IT. In my opinion Dino gets a mulligan for 2016 and 2017, he completely flipped the schemes on both sides and did that with blah talent and in 2017 in particular, rough schedules. After a great 2018, last year was a dumpster fire and he lost the team for a good while. I worry about team chemistry again this year. He is trying to rectify the talent issues with all of the new hires and so far it seems to be paying off for 2021. Defense looks solid so there is that. I am treating this year as 11 exhibitions and I hope for better things next year.

Your points are salient. Let's reset here. Why are we so hopeful of the OC hire. THIS IS DINOS OFFENSE. and remember the first 2 years when he was boasting about the speed and boasting about the # of plays run and that ...we haven't seen anything yet. Well, the offense is still his baby and is it his or the OCs? We hired him for HIS OFFENSE. changing DC was needed and love the new system...but, why are we wondering about SGs O???? This is dinos offensive ship and so far I dont see the play calling or wr development in year 5.

In year 5 of Dino, I would have never guessed that we would have a better defense than offense. Our offense is uncreative and dull which is very shocking to me. We have one run in the playbook and we pass to only 25% of the field.

Our offense hasn’t been good under Dino.

There was maybe 1 good year (Dungey’s senior year).

The above said, I think this year is a write off year. Next year is bowl or bust in my eyes. However, I still think Dino can turn it around. But I am worried about our recruiting.
