If he leaves, I doubt he ever comes back.
your pic brings a tear to my eyesIf he leaves, I doubt he ever comes back.
I'm not sure Hop would agree to that. I could see him signing something (with millions) that would allow him to go to only Syracuse and no one else.Pretty sure USC will ask Hop to sign a buyout clause that will make it very difficult for him (read: financially) to return to Syracuse. Hard to believe he would return anyway after switching coasts.
USC knows that JB's almost done, it'd be risky for them to leave him the choice to go to Syracuse.I'm not sure Hop would agree to that. I could see him signing something (with millions) that would allow him to go to only Syracuse and no one else.
Stevie would move from a head coaching job to Asst. because?Would think Stevie Thompson might end up on his staff.
gotta think SC will put something in place now to keep him (if he's successful) from coming back to SU within 5 years
He's a head coach at a very low level school and being the assistant at a program in a major conference might boost his career?Stevie would move from a head coaching job to Asst. because?
Marshany names you are hearing for replacements at this point?
Exactly. A manager at Taco Bell would leave in a heartbeat to assistant manage an ApplebeesHe's a head coach at a very low level school and being the assistant at a program in a major conference might boost his career?

Disagree with it being a career suicide. The Pac whatever is wide open. And L.A. is wide open right now. Hop has a chance to make something out of USC.doubtful that would make much sense. for it to make sense for hop (bigger parachute, higher pay), it prob wouldnt make sense for USC.
But IMO, it doesnt matter. this is career suicide for hop if he takes the job. You dont take the 5 year old BMW when you turn 16 if you have the keys to the Bentley at 18.
I don't think it's career suicide. Plus, maybe JB told him that he wants to keep coaching for 5+ more years, so Hop has finally decided enough is enough and he wants to get his shot. If he can get USC turned around I can see that becoming a pretty good job. There's not much reason for it not to be a good job as is, as far as I know.doubtful that would make much sense. for it to make sense for hop (bigger parachute, higher pay), it prob wouldnt make sense for USC.

I would think j hart ends up at USC with hop.
Herm doesn't have the recruiting chops to replace hop. Would not be surprised to see Tim o'toole replace hop and someone hired to replace Tim.

Does Autry move into HC-in-waiting role?
