I'm going to Defend JB

Trolls can’t admit when they’re wrong about something. They just ignore it and keep yapping.
The team is ready to emerge and become a very good team and will win a lot down the stretch. Or do you think that's an impossibility and want Boeheim fired tonite?

Exhibit A^^^^

You were incorrect about Pitt/GT. No biggie, it happens.
I see a season in process that still has a lot of potential, while you and others here basically want to throw in the towel. Seems counterproductive to me.

Hello, ES guy, it happens in high school, probably even before.
What does? I mean, I know the sorts of things that actually happen, but I'm curious what you seem to think occurs. I lived with an SU athlete in the so-called big 3 sports on campus as an undergrad and worked with athletes in the PAC-12 and Big 12. I'm not sure why you seem to think you have special knowledge and insight not possessed by anyone else on the board. If anything, you appear to be the least-informed of (almost) any poster here.

Are you from Mars. He trusted DC Dion Harris Flynn Devo and many others to do the right thing.
NO. Jb was very very smart.

Hear no evil see no evil= know no evil. He and every other major program coach knew exactly what they were doing.

Talent wins out. These guys weren't hurting anybody. Hearsay all that was.

I don't care what these guys are like off the court same feel for pro athletes on teams I root for. Just care what they do and produce on the field/court. JB probably guilty of that a bit too. Can't blame him but these guys especially Devo redeemed themselves. They grow up and learn.

I don't need them to be going to bible study between class, practices/games.

Yep think of this: BOTH Donyell and Jalen Rose have said they would have come here if we hadn’t gone on probation. There would not have been a Fab 5 at Michigan (which ironically caused sanctions themselves).
Rose wouldn't have. He was a Syracuse lean and then Mich gave his high school coach a ass't job and that as they say, was that.

You are the king of the non-sequitur

I think that people who are above average or exceptional at sports get a lot of perks. And it happens from youth sports on up. It's so ubiquitous and obvious that to argue the point is just not even worth the time.Do you think that non-athletes don't have papers written for them? A couple of years ago the IVY league had a systematic cheating scandal, not sports based.

Wow. That might be the dumbest thing you have said on these boards and that bar is set very low. You don't care what these guys do off the court? So, beating up students, male and female is A-okay if they play well on the court. Do yourself a favor and stay silent. I believe you have a daughter, right?

Yeah and If (I was way to young at that time) gotten Rose, Marshall, or somebody mentioned a player that went to UMASS. Who would we then have not gotten who we ended up getting ? Remember we went to the F4 in 1996.

Again, we weren't getting Rose. And so what?

Look, the overall tenor on this board is Syracuse basketball is a disaster and JAB has to go, the sooner the better. I'm trying to support the program and this years team.

Jalen and Donyell were in their second years in the NBA in 1996. What are you even talking about?

Pitt is really good and GT is one of the worst teams in the league though, no?

So losing those guys didn't have a big effect on the program. Still had all time players like Moten and Wallace.

And your point is...?

Good question because I believe our two seniors in 96 (Wallace and Sims) would both have still come here since they were both local kids (Rochester and Syracuse). Not sure who the UMASS kid mentioned was though. Camby?
