Is it worth burning a redshirt on one of the true frosh? It

Probably not. I can't see on frosh making that much of a difference. This staff has done a good job recruiting and they are clearly focused on the future.

is that bad, IMO.
it's worth burning a lot of things

Can we get Alin Eduardo enrolled asap??

That's the guy I want running this offense.

If one of them can give SU the best chance to win 3 more games, then yes. It is very important to reach a bowl game- for the extra practices, as well as to not lose any forward momentum in the program.

I agree but what frosh can do that?

I don't think so. I still think Hunt's the guy. See what he has the rest of the way - and then open up the competition in the Spring/Fall. There is a lot of young talent to sort through.

if i were one of those guys, i'd want the shot now to have a chance at being an incumbent next year

if it were me in their shoes, i wouldn't consider it a burnt redshirt. i would consider it a great audition - because there's a good chance they never see the field otherwise

I don't think the redshirt should be a consideration. But if neither Wilson or Kimble (or Loeb for that matter) bring something to the table that neither Allen or Hunt do then I'd rather they not play. I couldn't give 2 craps about a redshirt year because I don't want to wait 4 more years for soemone's redshirt senior year before we have a decent QB. Personally I hope one of the true frosh comes in and wins the job next fall. I see the things O'Korn is doing down at Houston and think why not here? He's no higher rated than either of the kids coming in next year.

what the hell does ratings have to do with how okorn is playing?

It gives an indication that the players may be of comparable ability. Its only an indication but its all we got. Settle down big fella.

If one of the two freshman can handle the job then burn the redshirt. I'd create separation and we're bringing in two next year.

i love it though that we've moved on from everybody's favorite player being the back up quarterback to everybody's favorite player being the the QB who's still in high school.

How old are McNabb's sons?

Thats because we've seen the backup and he's no better than the starter. Next.

Yes burn it . I want to get someone other then Hunt reps this year being that allen is gone.

the only indication it gives is how flawed and under rated he was.

OKorn had as many big offers. He played for St Thomas Aquinas, won a state championship on a nationally ranked team, was named the Florida Class 7A offensive MVP and was also named MVP as a sophomore at the National Top Prospect camp.

It's always the qb that is coming in that will solve the problems. I don't give a rats ass about burning kids' redshirts, we have penty of depth at qb. Next year we will have two new frosh, two RS frosh, and a walk on that is a rs frosh as well as Hunt, it is fine to burn one and now is the time to do it with the buy week.

Saving for a rainy day makes no sense when the qb play is performing as it is now. It truly cant get any worse, it cant.

You can red shirt any year if the kid proves to be a viable back up. You take a scholie to play

So you're saying saving for a rainy day makes no sense when there's a monsoon going on outside and your roof is blown off?
