It's showtime -- let the (NBA) games begin!

isn't the other issue that Horford doesn't want to be a full-time center?
I love me some guys that should play center that don't want to play center.

Fellas, when the playoffs roll around... if you want to win, you're going to be playing center.

rumor now is that he and old frenemy Larry Bird might be working on a deal to move Paul George to the Lakers

Hope not. Wait until the summer. Try to keep that protected pick this year. Trading for George now could bring in too many W's for that to happen.

SMH. That the overwhelming favorites in the east can just pick up a 13 and 6 veteran player at a position of need for nothing, blows my mind.

Good for Cleveland, good for Deron(loved his game when he was a star, would like to see him win something while he's still got a little left). But between Korver and Williams, it's been way too easy for the Cavs to pick up whatever they need for cheap. I think the playoffs will suck, but the finals could be amazing. And I'm torn on who to root for.

I was a huge fan of the Warriors a few years ago. When Steph was first blossoming into a superstar, Klay was a young and emerging player, Jarrett Jack had a great year off the bench...I really liked that team. I was glad they won their first title. I have always liked KD, but this just feels too easy. As a fan I would've preferred to see him finally get OKC over the top. But I understand completely, who wouldn't want to play that role on that GS team? I like Kerr a lot. I've always been a Livingston fan and am happy to see him find a role on a great team after all he went through. I like Iguodala too. But Draymond is a complete asswipe, and it sometimes is not as fun to root for a team that is that good.

I like Lebron, but the fanboys who are constantly sh$tting on every other great player that has ever played just to prop him up are beyond annoying. Kyrie is fun. Not a huge Love fan. I like Thompson, guys like that are always easy to root for.

Seriously torn. Should be fun to watch. Hope both teams are completely healthy. And I do like that two historically loser franchises in somewhat afterthought cities have the two premier basketball teams. It is something different.

Guys wanna play with LeBron. Bogut may be next.

Melo hits another game winner. 37 points.

Melo just keeps being a professional that does his job. Great player.

The Knicks are just screwing up their lottery chances, wish they would keep losing.

I think they tried. Up 11 after 3 quarters and Melo had 31. Like usual, he sat way too long, Sixers came back and took the lead.

They are only a few games out of the playoffs.

The Knicks aren't sniffing the playoffs, they will probably win enough games to get anyone good in the lottery, this franchise is a joke.

Heat blow out the Pacers, Waiters with 22 points.

I'm fully on board. Rooting so hard for them to make the playoffs.

They are 4 1/2 out, but consider that Milwaukee is ahead and they lost Parker for the season. They will likely fade. And Charlotte has been fading badly.

It's Detroit...who I honestly thought would be way better but has been very mediocre all year, and Miami who is streaking, that they need to catch. Chicago is only a game ahead of Detroit and they are nothing special.

It's doable. But they are in such a weird place. They are going nowhere even if they get an 8 seed, but won't be bad enough to get a high pick if they miss the playoffs. The Noah signing was so bad. Trying to turn the city on Melo was so pathetic. I love Melo, love MSG, generally like when NY teams are good, am disgusted by Phil, and think Dolan is a complete scrub...I'm so torn on what I want to happen there.

The Knicks aren't good enough to go on any run, they are worse than the teams ahead of them, they are better off losing and getting a better draft pick.

Detroit is the only team that I think is better than them. But they have underachieved.

I have no idea how to project Chicago.

I have no idea what to make of Miami.

Charlotte is what they are. Milwaukee has Giannis and little else.

The guy all the internet dork fans want to hand the franchise over to, KP, needs to finish strong. Melo is doing his job. KP needs to finish strong. He's the guy those idiots were booing Melo for, whenever Melo held the ball longer than 2 seconds. So where's the new franchise player at? Time to step up.

We know the east stinks, but the Knicks aren't good enough to make any kind of run to get the 8 seed. O I totally agree on melo, he is treated terribly by Knick fans, all he does is play his butt off every game and score.

I'm afraid expectations will be unreasonably high for KP when he finally becomes the man in NY, and that's assuming his body can stand up to the rigors of the NBA over the long haul.

Apparently, a lot of these idiots already think he's the guy.

In reality, Carmelo is doing a fabolous job of continuing to produce at a high level while the young guy grows. It's unfortunate that they're the only two good players on the team.

And even more unfortunate that there are so many bad basketball fans out there.

*My earlier post was pure sarcasm in regards to KP. He's like 20, of course he's not the guy yet. If these idiot fans would relax and let it happen, he'd be better off. Hopefully he's as mentally tough as Melo to ignore all the dumb stuff, because I'm sure it will be there.

KP seems like a pretty smart and aware kid who can handle playing in NY. I'm sure he's processing what he's watching happen with Melo, and wonder if he'll want to stick around if Phil & company can't put a viable team around him.
