Class of 2014 jaboree williams

Clawson appears to be a program builder. His offense though was terrible at Tennessee and after Fulmer was fired then Kiffin fired Clawson.

He's 32-31 at Bowling Green aided by this years 10-3 record in what I consider a really down year for the MAC.

I will say though in his career by year 4 he's turned programs around.

10-3 at Fordham in year 4 followed by 9-3 and then bolted for Richmond.

11-3 at Richmond in year 4 then bolted for Tennessee OC job. Fired.

8-5 at Bowling Green in year 4 followed up by this season's 10-3 now bolting for Wake.

The problem I see for Wake is that he won't be there long.

RT @McMurphyESPN: Wake Forest will formally introduce Dave Clawson as its new coach today at 4:30 p.m. news conference

I am sure that he will be talking /meeting with Wake recruits by tomorrow.

Just speculating...

There is a tweet today from 247 that Jaboree is still taking that visit to Pitt. Also he has become very quiet on twitter so don't know if he has been contacted by the new Wake coach yet. Big decision for a kid who thought his future was set a week ago.

Agreed. I think HCSS has really got to win mom over tomorrow... Come on Coach!

HCSS is a busy man this week. someone tweeted that they spoke with him in the Philly airport this morning. I wonder who he is visiting besides Erv today.

AJ thinks he's staying with Wake.

I saw that too... Kind of a bummer if true. We lost some kids when DM left, and he's definitely a big get. Really nice gift for Coach Clawson to walk into.

So if Williams stays with Wake, Thomas goes to OK, and Sykes goes to ND, then who does staff go to? I am not saying this is going to happen but definitely a possibility.

The three LB's we have already recruited are great gets too.

It's very possible, actually. I think we might stand pat if that happens, or reach for someone from a MAC level school.

I'd say we stand pat and if not then the kid from Maryland - not Bentley

Seems like Demetrius Johnson is ours to be had. Does seem like he is a back up plan at this point. Let's hope we don't have to worry about that just yet, even though I do like him as a prospect. Anything below him could be considered reaches though since they would literally be 5th or 6th choice. Good thing we already have 3 studs on board

I agree that Johnson could be a good filler if everything falls apart with the current un-committed LB prospects. While i like who we have committed, after the loss of Cabinda, losing Sykes and Thomas would be difficult to swallow as everything was looking so promising early on. I'm not as high on Williams (think he's getting so much action because he's an early enrollee) and wish we would have hung onto Brantley a little longer as our Plan B. In any event, as we have been discussing, the next few months are do or die time for the staff and this class.

We are teetering on the line of very special but are gonna need alot of pieces to fall into place to get there. Just don't know at this point.
