Honestly, I think that would be a horrible decision and with the lineup of heavy hitters next year will set back all the progress. I think Johnson can be a suitable spot starter, but if Fran isn't close to certain Williams is that guy I am hitting the portal hard. Even if he does think he is, i'm still hitting the portal hard with those big games early in season.
Let me be clear. I 100% agree. I was referring to current personnel. I was just referring to the suggestion that maybe Johnson is ahead of Williams.

Nice part about the portal changes is that we'll know pretty soon. Any starter probably has to be around for spring ball so this portal window should be interesting.

So the question is if Jakhari isn't Manning our qb spot who is?

I see what you did there...

Which is sort of scary. In his spot duty minutes this season (imo) he wasn’t very good.

This QB room is going to insane.
Jakhari Williams
Michael Johnson Jr

Malik Washington

A four-star quarterback 6'4" and 200 pounds. He visited Syracuse in June 2024 and is also considering Maryland, Virginia Tech, and UCF.

Luke Carney
A three-star quarterback is already committed to Syracuse's 2025 class.

Rich Belin
A three-star prospect who is the 14th best prospect in New York and 91st best quarterback prospect in the country. Belin has been training with former Syracuse quarterback Madei Williams since he was 10 years old.

Portal quarterbacks
Some quarterbacks who may be entering the portal include Thomas Castellanos of Boston College and Matthew Sluka of UNLV and Holy Cross. Don't think we will care about these guys.
