After Angeli went down, it looked like Cook just started going through the motions. I sit in the end zone and I would focus on him running routes, and many times they seemed to have no effort. Did we have the qbs to get it to him? Not really. But that tells me something about his character if he is going to mail it in.

I think people need to understand that the portal enables both parties to easily move on now.

In the past we’d always talk about the burden of transferring and sitting out a year for the players. But there was also the under discussed dynamic of coaches realizing a player isn’t a fit for their system and/or culture who didn’t have a lot of options to jettison the guy.

When everything is year to year a coach has more avenues to push kids out, regardless of money.

Josh Downs is an incredible player, better than Pittman even. Sucks that they don’t give him the usage he deserves.

Exactly, especially when Richmond says something. Dude has shown he is flat out connected to program info. I was like "wait wut?" Lol. Agree could be character issues. Gotta let Fran have to the spring and then we can hash out losses/gains and overall outcome. Fran is well aware of the pieces leaving and what he needs to bring in to win. It will be interesting to see who he brings in.

Two, I’m totally reserving judgment til post portal. This due kicked his best friend out and was going after a DC of a top five D during the season.

Three, I’ll take five Gill’s over a Cook. Kid has a ton of talent, but didn’t seem to care about the playbook or be consistent.
