He covers the Pistons? So, he doesn't really follow the NBA?

I’m just guessing, but I think he’s going to follow what his agent recommends
hmmm...well an agent can get paid something this year or wait and hope they can get paid next...

an agent would likely be biased to get money as soon as they can...or risk getting nothing later...so...

not sure I like that.

Also, I hope Cuse#1 knows it’s all in fun. I think we’re all aware he’s using the voice to text feature. It just often leads to some hilarious results.
It's all good? I know how to read between the lines, room. Whatever you wanna however you wanna call it sure? I know it's all in fun but at the same time I take it seriously as well becaus obviously. I'm a huge fan and mintzs coming back or not We'll make a huge difference and how the seasons end up.

Big improvement. Keep at it.

I think he is going to go by what his dad says. Not his agent. And I have no idea what that might be. But his agent is going to want him to leave. And if he was to blindly follow him, he would have done that already. I think Judah doesn't know which way to go right now.

Well, if you're only projected as the 55th pick by ESPN, who should know something about the NBA, then it doesn't really seem like much of a choice to me. Start being a journeyman now, or be a college star next year, and certainly improve your draft position over "probably not getting drafted", which is where you are right now, young man, regardless of what your dad, or uncle, or agent says.

Agents always want guys to leave. That’s how they get clients.

I agree and I think his dad wants him to leave. I don’t think money is the determining factor here. It’s the opportunity.

Not a indignation upon anyone specifically but we are in an era that is so divided and toxic that it's all about going and getting your own and focusing purely inward. That doesn't mean you don't be a good teammate but personal goals and achievement rise above all else to then focus solely on that. The journey and experience is de prioritized because it's simply not the same environment.

Opportunity is there and thus- it's a go get it now or someone else will take your spot mindset and honestly just the way things are right now.

Because his development will be within the NBA system instead of with a college team and an unproven coach. And he won’t have to worry about his personal goals conflicting with SU’s goals.
I agree with that take, but the counter is, the opportunity to experience college for another year and play in the NCAA Tournament and possibly make a run in the tournament. It all depends on what Judah wants, either way, he isn't wrong.

You think the "opportunity" is better for a kid who's a deep second round pick going this year than a potential first-round pick going next year?

The data suggests otherwise.

I think that is what Judah wants and he’s getting pressured to do otherwise. While the decision may be collective, the regret won’t be. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What data? If money isn’t a factor, it’s only delaying the inevitable.

Are you serious?

So I tell you about two players. One was drafted at #55 in 2023.

The other was drafted at #18 in 2024.

Your theory is that—besides money—they have an equal shot at success in the NBA?

The data on career trajectory by draft pick is widely known (at least I thought it wsa). Clearly it makes a difference.

It's not just "delaying the inevitable." With more money invested in you, you are given more opportunities to prove yourself.

You didn’t show any data. You’re just repeating your argument.
