Nick Monroe guy is the worst secondary coach i've seen. I hope he can recruit because the tackling in our secondary and the way they have played over two years is really bad. Take him
Why not? In 2012 they went 8-0 in conference play and 11-2 overall. And it isn't a bad area of Ohio for young coaches raising families.
Tanski was a BGSU player also.Matt Johnson as QB coach is a natural.
I expect to see Coach Lewis calling a crapton of Cuse's B list kids ASAP.True. TONS of great talent around the Akron, Canton, and Youngstown areas immediately close to Kent. The local kids who get overlooked, snubbed, or just not quite good enough for OSU/Michigan/MSU/PSU/ could potentially go to Kent. Of course I want SU to get those guys, though.
Yup. Congratulations Sean! Kill it at Kent!Congratulations Coach Lewis! Best of luck!!!
It might take 3-4 seasons to get it going at Kent. Then I see an AAC school grabbing him. I think he'll need one more G-5 stop before a P-5 school comes after him.Yup. Congratulations Sean! Kill it at Kent!
I don't think any of the commits would go with him. Maybe a transfer.Hoping no one tags along...
My prediction...he'll grab one or two GA's here. A possibility another full time coach could go with him...but Kent State isn't the Buffalo Bills.Hoping no one tags along...

agreed and why would they go with him
Gotta be a situation where there is a personality issue with Babers or Lewis promises a big pay boost and an OC or DC position.Yeah I can see having a good relationship with a coach, but is it THAT good to be worth going from the ACC to the MAC?
From Minks story about Amie taking the OV...Yeah, referring to staff. Commits are solid, I would guess... Who was lead on Amie?
Guessing for GA's MacPherson sits tight. Does this open a coaching position($$) for a current GA, or you think they go out of house?
Can someone explain to me, a guy who never played football beyond high school, who actually calls the plays on offense? I heard a lot of people complaining about Dino's "Play Calling" during the games. If Lewis is...I mean was the offensive coordinator, was it him who calls the plays, or was it Dino who called the plays. Furthermore, if your offensive coordinator calls offensive plays, and the defensive coordinator calls the defensive plays, what the hell does Dino do during games? This is a legitimate question...not trying to be funny. It's just that I recall a lot of offensive play call complaints, and 99% of the time the blame seemed to be on Dino. Is it possible now, that Dino doesn't hire a coordinator, and just assumes play calling duty himself?
OX already posted the story that Kaufman, who left last year, will be joining Lewis at Kent St as his DC. So possibly only someone wanting to be the OC.Gotta be a situation where there is a personality issue with Babers or Lewis promises a big pay boost and an OC or DC position.
Yeah it will just be Lynch and Dino fighting over which play to use.Dino explained it in the season, the three of them have input into the play calling. Most times it's typically the offensive coordinator calling the plays.
He also said it was sometimes a "fight" as to which play they where going to use. I can see that changing this year.
