LeQuint Allen to NFL Draft

A true pleasure to watch since he arrived. I’ve been in the camp that believes staying would not help his pro prospects. He had an incredible season that would be almost impossible to duplicate next year.

Hoping he can find the right NFL team to stick in the league.

Lequint has had a lot of wear and tear. I would have advised him to do what he did.
I would advise him to maximize his draft stock & start out w a higher guaranteed salary.

But, it's done.

The UDFA path is brutal. See Tuckers career. Hope LQA does better than that.

Why? He made a decision about money. I don't have anything negative to say about him.
Look at all of the negative feedback you are getting. Reason being your words infer that the most unselfish person on the team made a selfish decision.

If that wasn't your intention you would have worded it differently.

Happy for Lequint and wish him the best but not sure this is a financially smart decision. Of course I don’t know the figures but I just don’t think he is getting drafted.

His 40-yard dash time is going to make or break the amount of money he will earn as a professional football player.

Yep.

Hard to believe that the last RB drafted was Delone Carter in 2011.

Also hard to believe that the last offensive skill player drafted was Nassib after 2012. Kind of surprising given Dino's era.

Compare to Coach P's last 4 years... Brown, Johnson, David, Morant, Tyree. 5 draftees in the early 2000s. And we had Ray Rice coming here (still think Coach P was toast, just needed a better hire than G-Rob, fyi).

Hunh?

What's the problem dude?

I have no ill intentions towards LQA.

He's making a choice for him & it's about $$. We aren’t allowed to say that. Better touch grass, as they say.
Are you OK?

His 40-yard dash time is not likely to change that much after one more season, is it?

Coming back won't necessarily change that. He showed who he is this year and he'll be another year older with more mileage on him. I selfishly hoped he would be back as well but I totally get this decision, especially at his position.

What an easy kid to route for. I’ll remember him just as a great football player. Maybe not the fastest, or the best wiggle, but he got it done with pure grit, effort, and will. I think he’ll sign as a UDFA but he has the ability to play ST’s and brings a lot to the table. Coming back wouldn’t improve his draft stock. Probably just add a wear and tear but also would guarantee at least 1 more nice payday. Will be interested to see how he tests on his pro day .
