I think there were overreactions, but can see how people took the wording in the OP in a negative light. I didn't have negative intentions.
Literally just stating the obvious that he is making a decision based on the prospect of immediate money. I didn't imply there was anything wrong with that.
It's better to maximize your draft position. Get more guaranteed money & teams will take you more seriously.
LQA could make more money by trying to maximize his draft spot, & ultimately that would be better for him. Given that per the comments here, he may not even be drafted, it's not unreasonable. I would never wish the UFA path on any Syracuse players, especially one of LQAs caliber.
I do understand the arguments on both sides.
