LeQuint Allen to NFL Draft

We've never had a QB that was able to run an offense like McCord. Unless he's miraculously back next year it's going to be a reawakening from a dream.
That's my fear! A brutal schedule is coming at the wrong time. I just hope we don't do what happened after Dino's 10 win season. We lost all momentum as a program after 2018. Hopefully we can get bowl eligible along with knocking off Clemson and/or Tennessee. I for one would take a couple big wins with a bowl appearance.

I wonder when we will know Allen's decision? It may have already been made now.
He said he was talking with Fran today. Never said a decision would be made today.

I wonder if everyone has a convo today? If so we should see a flurry of announcements

Oof. Now we know.

All about that $$

I think there were overreactions, but can see how people took the wording in the OP in a negative light. I didn't have negative intentions.

Literally just stating the obvious that he is making a decision based on the prospect of immediate money. I didn't imply there was anything wrong with that.

It's better to maximize your draft position. Get more guaranteed money & teams will take you more seriously.

LQA could make more money by trying to maximize his draft spot, & ultimately that would be better for him. Given that per the comments here, he may not even be drafted, it's not unreasonable. I would never wish the UFA path on any Syracuse players, especially one of LQAs caliber.

I do understand the arguments on both sides.

LQA really was a good runningback here. He did a lot well and he is an exceptional receiver. I do wonder whether he has the speed to get drafted but it would not surprise me to see him latch onto a team as a UDFA. He’s a hard player not to love as a coach. Tough as hell. I’ll be rooting for him to get drafted!

I begrudge him nothing.

He really maximized his opportunity at SU, after that goofy suspension. Kid has been a warrior, and he won us games this year with his tough running -- got better in the 4th quarter.

Stud. Hope he kills it in the NFL.
