If Coyle gets Babers/Fleck/Rhule/Montgomery/Brohm, Frost is forgotten yesterday. If he brings in Ash....Major, major let down for the fanbase
If we hire a career defensive assistant after what we have been through. I honestly believe the football board should be shutdown for 48 hours.I can see convincing one's self that he is an okay choice, but how can he be anyone's top choice? Are people just Coyle devotees?
Rational? You have zero proof that Frost demanded a out after a year or two. Zero. And as I said, I don't care about Frost. I care about us not getting the guy we wanted. Again.
"Frost has discussed his long-term coaching goals, Helfrich said, but called those conversations "very private and personal and if he wants to speak to them publicly I think that's for him to say." from: http://www.oregonlive.com/ducks/index.ssf/2015/11/ducks_coaches_begin_two_weeks.html
Tells me he wants to be the eventual coach at Nebraska. Coyle's contract probably would have made him leaving in 2-3 years very difficult. Coyle made the right decision.
Yeah, that's me. Everything is just fine. Nothing to see here. You have no proof of anything and came at me for not having proof. My only proof is that a guy just chose UCF. And it was a guy we were linked to and that our A.D. had a previous connection to. You go roll with it.And you have zero proof he didn't. Again, not being rational and flying off the handle without all the information. I get it, that's your thing. Roll with it.
Coyle should have known that before going after him.
In many cases it isn't easy to know. The candidate will tell you what you want to hear, yet when contract negotiations start and they are more worried about their ease to get out of a contract than the contract itself that can be telling. People on this board seem to think Coyle fell on his face when in all likelihood he wanted to get a contract in line that would protect Cuse from this exact conversation in 2-3 years. This isn't a 50K a year position that is easily replaced.
i would've been fine with it if he jumped after 4 years. 2, no thanksEveryone on this board knew that he would jump at Nebraska first chance he got. If you wanted a long term coach to be at Syracuse then don't go after Frost in the first place because even the board knew he wasn't a long term solution and was using us as a stepping stone.

now that's a list. Why isn't doc holiday getting more looks.Tier 1
Montgomery
Babers
Holliday
Wilder
Tier 2
Baldwin
Golden
Tier 3
Ive got a gun and a shovel, coyle wont be missed.
and milly, i realize youve been watching the bills dig holes into the carpet and hide for the last 20 years, but the Giants offense has been explosive since game 7 of 1999, when Kerry Collins took over.
my Kingdom for the passing success that the Giants offense has had since then...
of course the 1 year when we had 2 guys run for 1000 yards and Eli with his usual 3k +, yeah that was cool too.
now that's a list. Why isn't doc holiday getting more looks.
As jek would say I already have my article written and I'm positive I would be banned. If we hire a career defensive assistant after what we have been through. I honestly believe the football board should be shutdown for 48 hours.
and that's why SU wanted to get paid if that happened. take nebraska's money and throw it at the next guy.He could have jumped after 1 year. As soon as Nebraska opens up he is gone.

i get why SU wanted that and I get why frost didn't. all these deal makers in these threads amuse me.
a lot of the other p5 schools already have a good offenseDon't you think it is funny that we were the only P5 school targeting probably the hottest offensive coordinator in the country? Seems that should have been a red flag?
You're going to be disappointed.
Ha - don't worry too much. I'm not an inside guy. But going off of the posts here of inside guys, those names haven't come up much.
