I think an intelligent person would pick up that he hasn’t been utilized properly due to lack of depth on the OL. But asking for intelligent discussion these days is probably asking a lot.

He peaked when he was used on the interior.

I don't know. Is he on sedatives? Seriously, 2 or 3 players go past him without him ever getting out of his stance every single game for the last 2 years. And when he was at center last year, in the middle of both lines, how do you not hit ANYONE? OMG, he's terrible.

He was actually very good when he was on the interior and over 300 lbs. Led the team in pancake blocks in 2018 when we went 10-3.

He regressed dramatically when he slimmed down to 270 and shifted to tackle. And he’s struggled since. 270 is too light to play on the interior and even bulking back up he’s proving weekly he shouldn’t be at tackle.

This program should have always taken a handful or more transfers each year due to the fact we struggle to land top high school recruits I have seen other programs in FB/BB turn from very bad to very respectable by way of transfers I understand that sometimes these players have issues but at this point it is worth the gamble. Any coach that takes the Syracuse job should already have that in mind.

Dino did great job plugging holes and getting instant impact transfers his first three years. He’s struck out the last couple seasons. I do think Bleich will be a home run for us next season. Need to real in some more this off-season to turn this around. If I found a genie in a bottle and they granted me three transfers I’d pick a big nasty NT, OT and dual threat QB. Bamb! That along with some healthy players and we’re bowling next year.

They went really hard after that QB transfer last offseason who ended up at USF. What might have been.

As down as I have been on the program this year I don’t think they are that far off if we were relatively healthy. The elephant in the room is at QB. Even if the whole team was healthy this season I don’t think we have a QB on the roster right now that would get us to 500. Maybe the incoming Cali QB can be the future but I think we need to bring in a transfer and hope he is an upgrade at the position.

But as some suggested prior to the year, if you view this strictly as a developmental year, then having all of these young players get a dose of PT will pay dividends. The OL should be vastly improved. Depth will be better.

And as you state, we really need one of the young QBs to pan out. Morgan, Markewicz, Lamson -- doesn't matter, but one of them needs to be the real deal.

As you say, despite the shambles the season has become, it doesn't seem like we're that far off. A healthy OL would go a long way toward righting the ship.

this season was always a flush for me. Happy they are playing, happy to watch and be entertained, but to expect anything else is foolish.

let's get Dino to 2021 and see how it goes for him then. I'd have zero respect for the school if they fired him during a global pandemic. That's a Darryl Gross/Nancy move. We're not an SEC school. let Dino dig himself out of the rebuild.

We're better than that. Honestly, ask yourself, is it the right time to throw everything into the dumpster. I would guess if we have this monster O-Line coming back next year we'll have a shot at a QB or 2 from the portal who wants to play now to push Tommy next year (if he's back)

Some of our more talented kids are going to be gone and we are going to lose some recruits IF things don’t change this season and change can come many ways....could be starting to win again, could be Dino being let go...either way, there needs to be a definitive change or we are going to be really sorry next season.

Dome defense really worries me. We're supposed to be the team that lights it up on offense at home, but seems like it's the opponents who do whatever they want. Almost as if it's psychological when we're in our own building.

I don’t think you are giving our players much credit. I think a guy like Taj could walk but who cares, he is a cancer. I believe the team will circle the wagons and work harder. If you heard the post game interview with Queely, he is all about the team and getting better. Your making it sound like everyone is s bolting. We will have some attrition but I would wager it will be people we looking for more minutes, not just some crazy exodus of players going to “better” schools. We need to farm the top schools whose kids are not getting huge minutes and want to get some action.

I expect them NOT to lose to Liberty, none the less getting blown out by Liberty. I don't think that is foolish. EVERY team in the NCAA is facing the same situation. SU always seems to have more then most teams when it comes to injuries. In addition, the play calling has been some of the worse I have seen Dino arrived. I am happy they are playing but not entertained by the product on the field. I don't blame the players, although some take plays off when they are not going to be involved in said play...not going to mention names. I have not seen anyone on this forum say that Dino needs to be fired this year so I don't know why it keeps getting brought up.

I know a lot are concerned by Taj’s antics and Babers constantly catering to him. It’s caused issues inside the locker room.
