Lou Holtz

Mark May on the departure of former Notre Dame head football coach from College Football Final. "Lou will be missed, he brought incredible incite in his analysis. But at least now I don't have to spray waterproof my suits."

i mean this in the least jerk-ish way possible..

thank freaking god

That's hilarious. I think my all time favorite game day sign was at an ND game when somebody had a sign that said "Charlie ate the chocolate factory." (Charlie Weis) I wish I could find a picture of that sign.

With Rece Davis moving to college GameDay this should not have been unexpected. My guess is ESPN is going to revamp the whole postgame show and Holtz would not be as big of a part
Holtz probably didn't like that.

there has to be a website devoted to gameday signs

There is literally an army of washed up SEC quarterbacks looking for post game work. They could even call it the Washed Up SEC Quarterback PostGame Show.

Now just dump Mark May, and there's hope that the show can be saved.

It was the worst. But given how badly I wanted a recap of the day, I always watched it.

It's like when the NBC exec said to Costanza, "if it's about nothing, then why are people watching it?". And George replied "because it's on TV"

I know it's a different show, but Corso needs to go, too. Feel bad he had a stroke but he is totally outdated.

Best I could do on short notice

Holtz told ESPN last year that he wasn't coming back and 2014 was his final year. Official announcement just happened to be put off till today

Was the late great Stuart Scott ever a guest on that show? Or did the producers foresee how badly he would have soaked the crew announcing his name?

Now if we could just get rid of the Dick on basketball coverage.

Yea...now there will be 80% less talk about Notre Dame.
