Why would you make that distinction? First round picks get a guaranteed contract and realize their dream. Nothing is guaranteed if they return to college -- not the money, not their health, not a better position in the draft.
The tweet from ESPN radio saying he signed seems to be gone now. Shows up on search but when you click it, says the page doesn't exist. Probably reading into it lol.

. Selfishly wish he stayed, but best of luck to him. It's been confirmed by Ben Sigel. He's gone.
So you think Lydon leaving now means he someone is signalling that he doesn't want to be the best player he can be?Because some guys want to be lottery picks, and want to develop into the best players that they can, and aren't just satisfied being picked 28th.

Some of you are sooooo salty about this. It's embarrassing.

He was a second round pick for one of the worst teams of all time.

It's fine - a guy like Grant would've gone in the first round coming back. People seem pleased that our two best early entries were record setting terrible.
If he lacked confidence in himself and his abilities and his potential to compete at the NBA level, I'd think he'd be more likely to return. He's a smart kid and talented basketball player who apparently understands how the NBA works these days, and appears to be taking the route most likely to result in a career there. Then why is he hiring an agent and closing any possibility of coming back to school?
