The board gets a little excited after a commit. Every single kid ever on the football side is underrated and going to blow up.

It's a little more realistic to predict a basketball recruit will "blow up" when there are a lot less scholarships to offer. Football is a crap shoot, way too many intangibles and much larger roster to be able to predict . I think people aren't crazy for thinking good things from this recruit . He will have ample playing time and he has the ability to make a name for himself . There is reason to be excited .

Mind you it's men he's playing not high school boys so I'm really wondering how you came away thinking he was playing "small kids" from the videos u watched. (And you said you watched all of them)

I very much like the pick up given where things currently sit in this cycle. And I think Marek's shooting will be better than the 30% number posted. His form, while far from perfect, looks solid enough for him to be consistent with his release. Additionally, as I had pointed out earlier the college 3 pt line is well over a foot closer then where he has been shooting from, this should make a big difference.

That said I think two3's original point is valid, recruiting has slipped a little bit in recent years. Its hard to say if its as a result of probation, recruiting philosophy, coaching transitions, etc., but his point holds water. We need to start pulling in more boarder line McD's level players more often then we currently are especially given how the elites are recruiting these days.
