I missed the first part of the game due to SNY being ridiculous but.....First time all year I can honestly say he looked lights out... real comfortable out there... thought the press would rattle him more(being that I'm not completely sold on his ball handling), I was wrong.

KJO, Dion, Scoop, MCW, and Fab. With all five on the floor we could be unstoppable on the offensive end.

Fab would be able to seal off either direction and the other four can take you off the dribble with all four starting thier game at the the three point line. Isolate someone like Dion up top in that lineup with Fab in the paint and theres nothing they could do. Just so much dribble power.

I doubt we ever go to that. JB probably won't have our guards learning the backline as much, but just the thought is scary.

Still waiting for him to find his stroke. He was a fantastic 3-pt shooter in high school, but this year his freshman jitters are pushing everything long. When he gets comfortable watch out, he has the ability to score at will much like what Dion is showing us this year.

He is going to be a stud.. but he struggled big time vs the press today. had 2 or 3 to's out of the 6ish times he broke the press.

I actually thought MCW showed better decisiveness than Scoop against the press. Scoop was going backwards a few times...the old Scoop and frankly, looked liked he wanted no part of it. At least MCW went forward. I was surprised that box score had MCW with only 1 TO and Scoop with only 2.

The only downside I was seeing was they were penetrating the zone on the dribble from MCW's wing and he was playing from behind a few times He is almost automatic dribbling thru a trap or throwing over a trap. He reminds me of that gangly type guard like Bobby Wilkerson one of the first 6'7" point guards.

I love MCW, but he has got to score enough to keep D's honest. Not happening yet, but his floor game is way beyond his years.

I did like his thought process even though once or maybe twice the results weren't there. He repeatedly split the defenders aggressively up the middle of the court giving himself more options. It seems like Scoop and BT just kind of linger or play around the sidelines until a long pass opens up a lot of the time.

Like his game a lot. He will be a good one. Great defensive presence at top of the zone. But he really needs to work on his outside shot...to many ugly bad bricks.

Our best scoring team when together is definitely Fab, CJ, KJo, Triche, Waiters.

I am not worried about anything but him finding his 3-point stroke. His scoring would be clustered among the other guards not named Dion if we wasn't being unselfish to a fault. A whole lot of open shots and clear lanes to the hoop that he hasn't taken advantage of.

Yes...linger. Good word describing Scoop and Brandon often vs the press. That won't cut it vs Louisville.

MCW broke the press looking to attack in the front court...I actually thought Scoop looked more indecisive against it. I will say this, we are vulnerable against a good press, but if you don't get us in the back court, we are gonna get dunks at the other end. Love the way that our players didn't settle for jump shots once we broke the press and instead took it to the rim. Dion in the open court is flat out unfair. He blows by bigger players and bulldozes smaller ones.

That is a tough call butI went with CJ because he is more consistent.

Could totally see both sides, especially being so different... but I think if Southerland can continue to play with confidence against good teams, he will eek out with the lead for me.

In the second half we had 4 turnvoers.
Two came in the first 30 seconds of the half and one came from Reece is garbage time.
That pretty much means one turnvoer in 17 and 1/2 minutes of play.

The difference between JS and CJ is that CJ has a handle and create a shot/assist. CJ is also a better rebounder. JS is great on inbound press coverage and can well for better words becoming real "dirty" and score in buckets. Glad we are debating who might be better than "What".

not sure what pro aspect you saw...but MCW is our fourth best guard...still cannot shoot...has above average passing skills...and is okay dribbling...but lets not go overboard...I believe he will be all everything his junior year...but right now...not the cats meow

...and Fair is better than dirty...i am surprised that the thought is dirty is a better payer...are you sure we are watching the same games...please do not fall in love with 3 pt shots...the better rebounder and better inside scorer is fair and that is what this team needs at the moment...

MCW has by far the best complete skill set of the guards. The kid can score at will but he's obviously going out of his way to distribute the ball rather than shoot. I suspect that's very much on JB's instruction.

Huh? Score at will? He's last on the team in both FG% and 3FG%. He's no where near able to score at will right now.

Took the words out of my mouth, Bees.

+1...can i give this an additional +1 or our we limited to only one

He def had 2... He turned it over the first time he touched it and then maybe a travel at mid court IIRC?
