Movies to watch during lockdown?

Watched Escape at Dannemora this week. Very well acted, but no way in hell it needed to be a 7 episode series.

Was very cool to see our local news in it. I remember when they thought the two were in the forests of Vermont. Kids were scared.

My daughter was able to tape "Once Upon a Time ... In Hollywood" on demand.
Curious whether others out there like it as much as I did.
This sounds like a million years ago but it was actually January - I watched it over 2 flights.

I liked it. Really entertaining. 60s fashion seems really cool. I thought Rick Dalton was hilarious.

We watched Swiss Family Robinson (1960) on Disney Plus last night. I would rent this movie on VHS from the library like once per week as a kid and was obsessed with it.
Great film

Great film

I miss the good old days when Ostriches could be roughed up in movies without PETA being all dramatic about it.

I love those old Disney movies - Absent Minded Professor, Shaggy Dog, Love Bug etc

Sorry, one more thought on Swiss Family Robinson.

I love how the mother, who throughout the movie could barely walk from point A to point B without her husband and sons holding her hand and escorting her, was in full hand-to-hand combat with pirates at the end of the movie and they were just dropping like flies.

actually this is the sequel i was talking about Peninsula..
I saw Train to Busan on Friday night and then The Girl With All The Gifts (Netflix) on Saturday night. GWATG is also a zombie flick but starts off well after the onset of the zombies. It's a bit more cerebral than Busan, not as many wow moments but still very good.

my son stumbled across "beethoven" the other night. the family comedy about a big st. bernard. i vaguely remembered it but had never seen it. not a great movie by any stretch . . . but my son loved it and subsequently we went and found "beethoven 2." i guess there are 2 or 3 more. if you have kids 12 and under its a good pick for family movie night. the first 2, anyway.

Watched The Way Back last night with my daughter. The newest movie from Gavin O'Connor ( Miracle, Warrior, The Accountant). I thought it was great. Highly recommend.

I watched all 4 avengers last weekend. And Guardians 2 this week. I've seen them before but not too frequently.

Thor and the Guardians interactions are beautiful.

Watched an excellent movie last night. Blinded by the Light. About a Pakistani kid in England in the 80s who gets introduced to the music and lyrics of Bruce Springsteen. Highly recommend, even if you only know the Boss’ music a bit.
My wife and I loved it. We laughed and I cried. We related to it on many levels.

Just finished Outer Banks on Netflix. Loved it. Bonkers show. Good build up.
Was really liking the suspense being built until around episode 6 or so...then things just seemed to beall over the place to me. At least it ends with something to build on and towards another season.

Yeah, there was one part in particular that got a bit "Scooby Gang" to me that really didn't make sense and doesn't seem to build to anything bigger, but overall I really liked it. I love shows that find ways to keep making the situations the characters are in crazier and crazier.

Since I’m only 6 or 7 in, I really didn’t like the “hey you live with us now,” surprise.
Thought it was cheesy and way to much like The O.C. But again I did like the O. C.
It's wild to me how many things you could say it mashes up, and pretty well at that.

It's like National Treasure meets The O.C.

It's like Into the Blue meets The Outsiders.

It's like The Goonies meets Breaking Bad.

Started watching Picard on the CBS All Access free month. So far... I'm not so sure. The plot seems about the level of a mid/high end video game at this point.
