Red isn't qualified to shine oats's shoes.

It's time to be intellectually honest about the limitations of the people on the bench.
A full housecleaning is needed. The current assistants are also culpable for this mess.

How can that be determined? How much input does JAB allow them? They don’t even get to sit next him on the bench. And then they have to recruit by selling old, formerly-retiring, zone-only, vindictive, dog house-having, progeny-prejudiced JAB. Maybe they’re dynamite recruiters into a different situation.

[all devil’s advocate stuff, but I think the concepts are still valid]

Did you ever work for someone who was moderately successful despite doing a significant number of things you would do differently?

Alabama is 9-9 in the SEC this season. 19-12 overall. After a good start, it has been a bad season in Tuscaloosa.

Tough schedule caught up to them. They have as many big scalps as anyone.

Of course they should not have lost 12 games.

Alabama is loaded they have some very talented players that barely get off the bench. At this point I just want talented fun players.

A replay of Saturday’s game?
Lol. Must be. I just turn on the ESPN app and watch anything that looks close or interesting. Everything says “live” even though apparently it’s not.

About to beat number 1 team in the country. Amazing how well this guy coaches IN GAME. He’s turned this program around quickly
They were down 10+(?) with like 8 minutes to go, against #1, in #1’s building.

Beastly defense on both sides. He may be the real deal.

Given these recent events UConn highly likely is ranked somewhere 1-3 next week.
Should be 1 but will be 3. Hard to see us jumping Virginia and Purdue without them losing. Even if we did beat Alabama by 15 and deliver Florida it’s worst home loss since 1998.

But yeah… get Oats.

It will be close. The Bama result has to bump them to 5 or 4...

My guess is Purdue 1, UConn 2 with UConn getting quite a few 1st place votes.

We all look forward to another UCONN national championship.:confused::(

I don’t know if Oats is the guy for us. I can certainly imagine preferring to live in New York. You’d have to pay me 5x as much to live in Alabama.

But, if we are really deciding between Red/GMac or Hopkins, vs someone like Oats… that just feels like a surrender. Like you want to sign Aaron Judge but end up with a player to be named later. We don’t know—One of our own might be the next great coach. But if you had to be a year of your salary on it, that’s not the move you would make. We can’t be complacent. We can’t just settle. This is the setup for the next 10-20 years.

If they didn't come back from that defecit you know Cous cous had that pump up JB by trashing Oats agenda post ready to go,

The guy grew up a Cuse fan.

I can’t imagine too many non-native Alabamians choosing to live down there for too long.
Who knows, it’s entirely possible he likes the low expectations at bama, even though he is surpassing them each year. I don’t really think bama fans talk about basketball (good or bad) after the season ends because all eyes go back to football.
