NBA 2017-2018 thread

this is a great deal for the Celtics and a decent deal for the Cavs. Kyrie is a much better player than IT. IT kills his team on the defensive side of the floor. Crowder is a dime a dozen player. the Nets pick could be very good. Or maybe not.

Kyrie isn't much better defensively.

D-Wade to Cleveland in 3...2...
That was obvious the second buyout with Chicago was talked about.

Chicago, Atlanta tanking next year was why I was little worried the Nets wouldn't be the worst team next year.
If the Nets finish with the 3rd or 4th worst record the pick is still good but not first or second. I think Ainge was smart to gamble.

He got younger, more consistent and doesn't have to overpay a guy who could break down.

I don't think other people are understanding just how "asset-wealthy" we are right now. The Cavs could've gotten so much more and this just confirms that Ainge big boys other owners.

If that pick turns into Porter or Bagley? Then it worked out great for Cleveland. If they get like the 7th pick or something? Then it's an underwhelming return....unless KD sprains an ankle this June and they get another title this year.

I think this is a solid trade all around. If that Brooklyn pick lands in the top 3, you get Bagley, Doncic or Porter.

Biggest risk for the Cs is Kyrie's health. If they can keep him on the court for 76 games, great job.

With this trade, I still think the Cavs are the favorite, but Boston is definitely set up for the long haul.

What is the deal with this Boston reporters facial hair?
What guy?

Also FYI Boston sports fans hate the Boston media. They all suck and troll because of how good Boston fans have had it.

Forsberg? Its not even facial hair, it's just a thick neck patch. I couldn't even pay attention to anything he was saying.

Right now Chicago, Atlanta, Phoenix, Brooklyn, Orlando are all bottom teams.

Unlike the other teams Brooklyn has no incentive to tank. Brooklyn added Demarre Carroll, D'Angelo Russell, Alan Crabbe and have a good coach.
I think they will be a mid 20s win team.

It will come down to the lottery balls.
Plus Boston has the Lakers pick next year or Kings 2019 pick. They will get another high draft pick.

Chris Forsberg he works for ESPN Boston he isn't that big but he is a green team homer.

Can the Cs put together a lineup where they can go five out now if Horford is the center?

Any chance Cleveland flips some of this trade for Melo?
