25 games seems much less harsh than was expected. He definitely needs help and a better support system around him. And maybe for his dad to grow the eeeppphhh up.Suspending Ja makes zero sense, in my opinion. There seems to be something mentally wrong with him at the moment (based on the videos but more on the Instagram post saying goodbye to loved one) and I think he should be on the team as long as he is following some sort of rehabilitation/therapy plan.
Making him be away from the team and structure makes the issue worse, not better. A suspension is all about how it looks to outsiders not solving the actual problem.
Yupp. And there is the incident where his mother got into it with the employees at foot locker and called Ja asking him to roll through with his friends.25 games seems much less harsh than was expected. 25 games means he doesn’t make the 65 game qualification need for all nba and awards and won’t make all star. It means he’s losing out in tens of millions of dollars in contract ceiling if not more. Saw some reports that overall it could be 100 million. This was a lot.
Are you sure it can’t cap him down the line? Not saying you’re wrong plus the money you outlined is obviously true. The extension kicks in this year; not making all NBA last season (which was at least heavily influenced by his suspension) cost him like $40 million on his extension. Plus the 25 game suspension costs him $10 million this season since hes out for 25 of the 82 games. Gotta be one of the more costly suspensions
One extremely good fit (Miami) and one terrible fit IMO (Phoenix).
I am part relieved and part bummed that the Bucks appear to be out of it lol. Was a fun day or two going back and forth on if I thought it would be a smart move or not.
Ayton and expirings or CP3 and expirings along with some second round picks. What does a suns trade look like for him?
Chris Paul, who they will buy out? That Beal contract means ur not getting much value back. What does a suns trade look like for him?

I had thought it could still impede his ceiling.
Edit: I’m legitimately asking.
I wouldn't mind if the Jazz use a pick on this dude, but he might be off the board by then.
Wait, what?
Feels like he’s become way overhyped the last couple weeks. I think he was correctly valued as a late first round guy before. The buzz that he could go top 10 is crazy to me. Certainly has the physical tools to be a good player someday but feels like a very low percentage play in the lottery.
