New Helmets Saturday

I mentioned before in a couple threads, but apparently it will look like the Jags with blue shading into orange, with a metallic orange block S. Here is what the Jags look like so going to have to use imagination until Saturday

The only positive is that our colors set up better for this paint scheme than the Jags, but I'm still skeptical as to what this will look like.

I actually prefer this to an all-blue helmet (and the all-blue unis). Just hope it means we will have some kind of orange (jersey or pants) with it on Saturday.

it's going to be all blue again on Saturday. Possibly the following week for Clemson though.

The way I look at it is if the kids who are wearing them like them then it's fine. You can get 10 different people in a room, and all 10 can have different style preference. Your never going to make everyone happy when trying out new uniforms so just listen to the ones that will be wearing them.

I just want the all orange helmet with the stripe up the middle. If you want the NY logo on the back, fine. Where has tradition gone?

I agree to an extent. I want the kids and recruits to be excited about it, but you can't go nuts and throw tradition out the window every other game.

I have a feeling I'll like these. I just hope they don't reveal the new helmet without the full uniform treatment. Not really a fan of this piecemeal approach.

I am pretty sure that if you took the Block S and superimposed it on the Stanford block S, it's the same exact thing minus the outline. It has grown on me a lot, but that aspect will always bother me.

Get over the traditional approach, Syracuse football tradition is not currently carrying our program, and our recruits know little to nothing about Syracuse tradition. They do know, and like, fresh uniforms though. Traditional uniforms don't get us wins, players that want different uniforms do.

easy you might start making too much sense now. the days of the plain orange helmets with the white stripe has come and gone.
