New PS interview with Danielle Roach

meets fan.
WEird part is that it isnt even really about BF at this point...people talk about why JB fired so hard...I am wondering why Fitz did.

It baffled me last week, and baffles me even more now, that he doesn't have a lawyer. In the OTL segment today, Schwarz said that Davis now has a victims' advocate but no mention of a lawyer.
Isn't Schwarz his victims' advocate or does he just play the part on tv/radio?

Wouldn't you think Davis would say something to his HS gf? if not "I've been molested" then maybe a "Coach Fine is kind of weird..." thing? No recollection of him telling weird things about Fine? Just closed blinds?

At work and so confused and will have to read this later. But is Davis saying that he called the police, gave no hints as to who it was, and the detective knew it was Bernie Fine?

Wait, wait. Didn't I read somewhere that this was a four-month investigation? Now it was a five-minute investigation? What.

there have been four separate investigations:
  • ESPN first investigation in 2003
  • Syracuse Post Standard investigation in 2003
  • Bond, Schoeneck and King investigation for SU in 2005
  • ESPN second investigation (last week's story)
The SPD did not investigate in 2002; that was the "five minute phone call."

The current DA and SPD investigations are the 5th and 6th investigations of the same story. To date, the only new information is the changed Mike Lang story, which is problematic because it is inconsistent internally, with Davis's story, and with prior statements given by Lang himself. Danielle Roach is not a new voice and she has nothing probative to offer anyway.

Essentially yes. Also said he knew stuff was still going on even though he was driving back from Utah at the time. Why didnt Davis call the DA's office? It clearly wasnt disinterest. He was still interested as late as 2005.

He seems to be saying his only hint was that it was a University employee. And, yes, he then implies that the detective knew it was Fine.

So now we have an witness (well not really an eye witness someone Davis told) pointing a figure at the DAs office. The DAs office pointing a finger at the SPD and the SPD pointing figures at the accuser. Is that about right? Nobody seems to be too worried about SU which is what I am worried about.

I am not sure if the SPD covered anything up. They told Davis that he is past the SOL so they did not investigate the claims very hard. They probably spoke with the people Davis listed and that was it.

I still don't know what they are "investigating" They can no longer charge BF with anything. They really can not make his name any worse. It will always be linked to this. I doubt he can coach again. So I guess the only real thing they can be looking for is new victims to make charges against BF.

no, the detective (allegedly) told Davis that "I know who you are talking about." Davis assumed it was Fine. Fox may in fact have held suspicions about someone else at Syracuse University and they were talking about two different people altogether.

but, I said "allegedly" because we don't know if Fox really said that to Davis. It is human nature to "remember" and to narrate events in a light that is most favorable to yourself.

Although she may have inadvertently (a) sunk the DA's office, or (b) Davis's case with the admission.

Somehow I don't think "You could totally tell he knew even though I didn't say it" is admissible.

The likelihood of an SPD member saying something like "I have a good idea who you are talking about" is about zero.

I guess this kills the Dennis Duvall conspiracy theory.

It's so ******* absurd that it's mindblowing.

Oh someone at Syracuse Univ molested you? OH MUST BE KING OF SYRACUSE, Bernie Fine, known for his molesting ways.
Right if the cops were so aware of his molestation issues...and yet had never done anything about it...is just absurd beyond belief. Its mind bottling!

If she called SVU at the Onondaga DA's office, it would have been followed up, by Rick or anyone. They are zealots and true believers, which is needed in that department.

The more comes out, the more it looks like the university are the only ones who remotely did the appropriate thing here. The fact that their investigation came to the same exact conclusion that independent investigations by two different media organizations came to is also bolstering. Reading the PS account of their investigation, it appeared to have been very thorough.

Tuttle interested in your thoughts here...but this seems to me to be Davis (and his group) going way out on a limb...I mean if the DA has phone records...I wonder if she didnt consider that.

Sooo, you're basically saying it sounds like total BS? :)

If he had a lawyer, we wouldn't get these little gems that keep the story going in the press. It's almost as if he sees a hole that needs to be filled and comes out with something he "forgot" to mention before.

The University conducted a 4 month investigation...in 2005. I wish someone would shed some light on why that was started...
Davis called the University and made his allegations.

BTW, I am absolutely confident that BSK conducted their investigation with a fine toothed comb and turned up nothing to corroborate Davis' story. They also would have found all the reasons that Davis would have to want to harm or get misguided "revenge" on Bernie.

Just to be clear, the University hired BSK for their own interests, and not FOR Bernie, right? Dumb question, but I figured I'm entitled to one now and then, and my wife isn't here for me to ask her to guess how many facial hairs I currently have.
