New Safeties/Rovers Coach: Darrell Perkins

You'd think the university would invest in condos or townhomes for the coaching staffs, and ya know, have a cleaning crew and contractor on call for adjustments and changes - might be a nice perk or incentive for potential candidates
Why? The only colleges that do that are schools where rent is prohibitively expensive - Cal, Stanford, Colorado.

For fear of peoples safety and property I never posted this, but Tony Whites family didn’t live in their house at all this year. He was always going to leave. He stayed closer to campus this season. My friend lives down the street from their old house.
I imagine new coaches will rent downtown or on the east side for the first year.

On the positive side that gave DB time to look for options when he left. Tough to hide that fact for too long with how many hours these guys are around each other

Recruiting an area is one thing. Successfully landing players good enough to make Syracuse competitive in the ACC is another. Lots of coaches recruit those areas. We’ll see. The proof is in the pudding. So far, the staff has a lot to prove.

Too bad these assistant coaches can’t get some of that NIL money.

Gmac does commercials nothing stopping others from getting some done.

When the transfers and coaching moves hit, I had the same anxiety as others following a successful, but inconsistent season. The new coaches show promise, both in their resumes and recruiting areas. Too early to claim "upgrade" but collectively, the hirings have elevated my enthusiasm. Much like Anae and Beck's hiring did last season.

I could lament losing a veteran OC and and an in-demand, young DC., but I prefer to focus on the new, veteran DC and the wisdom his assistants will absorb. And the young OC who finally gets a chance to unveil plans he's developed over the years under Anae. I think Dino's given us a reason to hope for more success this year.

If you can’t live in Syracuse NY on what a position coach is making, you may want to get in touch with a financial advisor.

You can “live” in Syracuse on a Walmart salary but that’s not the same thing that’s being argued.

how much do we think this position coaches are making? I dont think its 500k..

and considering the lifestyle its nice money but not set for life money. If married with Kids and the wife isnt also holding down a job thats just normal money for many families..

$200K (minimum) is an upper middle class family salary with 2 kids in CNY. Let’s be honest.

I agree.. But it’s not crazy money.
Not crazy but it is very much above average in CNY.

Add to that the likelihood that majority do not have student loans (former scholarship athletes) and unless they’re living above their means, they’re doing pretty damn well.
