New Whitlock

Read it earlier this morning...a good read, unfortunately, most people are not intelligent enough to decipher as he suggests...but will sway on the sensational side of what they want to believe due to the way such a generally/usually credible entity, ESPN, broke and portrayed the story...kind of hard to break the first impression after being introduced the way in which ESPN reported it...

Whitlock is the only person making any sense on this. It's turned into a media frenzy rather than a lawful investigation to determine the facts.

Unfortunately, perception is everything.

A well-written piece. Too bad it won't get much publicity.

This country is going to hell in a hand-basket. It is so far off course from where it was supposed to go that it more closely resembles the end of the Roman Empire than it does the "more perfect union" of the founding fathers ideals (I say this fully aware of the salacious details of many of the founding fathers' lives). We are a society that is increasingly driven by entertainment and deficient attention spans where rumors and half-truths are reported as substantiated fact, which fuels civic unrest and public outrage which then drives public policy, thus encouraging more rumor-mongering. If any of you haven't seen the movie "Idiocracy", I highly encourage it. We greatly resemble it.
