Yeah, both you and Mike have really good points about taking a franchise QB is one is available.
I guess I am just not sold on either Rosen or Darnold - especially Darnold...I've seen USC several times this year and the guy forces a ton of throws...
How do they compare pre-draft to Eli?
I actually like Darnold more than Rosen. However, he does force throws. They say he does it because he is hyper-competitive and thinks he can make them. He has a slight hitch in his motion, but he's also young, comparatively, (he's only 20).
To the point that KaiserUEO made, Rosen in NYC is a bit scary. If Eli had Rosen's personality, he never would have made it (imo). However, when you watch Rosen, it looks like he was born to throw a football.
I'd take either. I just think that Darnold has a bit more upside and the way he channels his moxy is better-suited for NYC and the pressure with being the Giants QB. What is scary is if Darnold holds off on entering the draft early, which is a legit thing. That means Rosen is really the only QB that's worth a top 3 pick.
