NFL Thread - 2020

Ya in today's NFL where half the kickers are routinely booming 55 + yard FG's I will take the 4+ lead every single time. Gruden looks like a dude whose still coaching like its 2002.
The odds of getting into fg range with 19 seconds and no timeouts are astronomical. It took two of the dumbest plays you have ever seen for it to happen.

Yet it did happen. Give me Fitz trying to throw for a TD there, hes at worst a 50/50 shot to throw a pick.

Playing not to lose usually causes you to lose. Most coaches outside of Andy Reid and Bill Belichick seem to do it routinely.

999 out of 1000 times a team with 19 seconds doesn't get in fg range.

It’s happened more than you think. It’s two plays to gain 40 yards.
With kicker legs you don’t even need 40 yards it’s 30 yards.
If you get the opposing 45 kickers can make 62 yard FGs nowadays.

Gruden played it right. Rod Marnelli played cover-2 over quarters coverage and that catch happened.

Not to overthink your post but it’s probably more like 95 times out of 100 which is way more often.

If you play it right it should never happen. At best they should get a hail Mary or a 64 yard fg attempt.

I’ve seen Drew Brees do it a lot over the years as a Saints fan. He did it last year against Houston. It’s on YouTube. It was about 50 yards in 25 seconds. It’s only 2 completions. Teams get so scared of being beat deep for a TD they play soft. The alternative is if you don’t do that you could end up like the Jets against Oakland.

So it will be NFC East vs AFC East next year.
Only matchup locked up is
Philadelphia vs. New York.

Pretty sure Philly will finish ahead of the Giants if they win and Giants lose on Sunday. Going into week 17, the Giants can finish anywhere from first to last in the NFC East. Pretty wild.

I’m rooting for the Bills big time but I honestly feel bad for Cam after that drop.
Bills receiver doing his best to repay the favor.

Josh Allen better warm up his arm and start throwin it like Paul Blake.

LOL at Lee Smith getting tackled by his own player celebrating.

Makes me wanna puke - ball was almost in Davis’ hands by the time that whistle blew.

And 3 steps later it’s blown dead because he was in the end zone for the TD.

I know it's more football and that's usually a good thing, but I just don't know if I like this new format with the extra playoff team and only one bye.
