When I see this, he reminds me of a football version of Tyler Ennis.
Call me crazy but I see future BOT (that's who he reminds me of)

Per my calcs, we should have 1398 points, not 1308 on Rvls. That would put us at #45, ceteris paribus:

Name Pos Rivals Rating Points
Parris Bennett LB 5.4 45
Corey Cooper WR 5.5 60
Antwan Cordy ATH 5.4 45
Jamal Custis WR 5.5 60
Lamar Dawson DB 5.4 45
Juwan Dowels DB 5.5 60
Alin Edouard QB 5.6 75
Adly Enoicy WR 5.4 45
Zaire Franklin LB 5.7 90
Jalen Harvey DT 5.2 15
Naesean Howard RB 5.5 60
Cordell Hudson DB 5.5 60
Steve Ishmael WR 5.7 90
A.J. Long QB 5.5 60
Colton Moskal LB 5.5 60
Ervin Phillips RB 5.3 30
Treevon Prater ATH 5.5 60
Aaron Roberts OL 5.5 60
Kayton Samuels DT 5.2 15
Chris Slayton DE 5.6 75
Jonathan Thomas LB 5.6 75
Denzel Ward OL 5.6 75
K.J. Williams WR 5.8 108
Rodney Williams DB 5.3 30
Total 1398

I'm guessing they didn't count the points for Franklin or Ishmael since they are the only 90 pointers on the list.

I sent them an email with this data - I'm curious if they will respond. I'm sure they are buried with emails.

Quick note - both Adly and Custis are listed as WRs. Considering we also have Cooper, this class is bringing in a total of 6 WRs.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that the talent on that unit just took a big jump.
Well, you are just such a risk taker!

Thanks to CuseLegacy and everyone else who helps keep this board up to date. I have never enjoyed a signing day more since it was so much easier for me to keep track of who was who just from reading this board thoughout the year. Awesome job!

Agreed. Painless today. Thanks, all!

I did the work for you. Take out the bottom 4 from your list. Two 15's and two 30's and you have the right number.

Just for a point of reference, does anyone have what our previous class (or classes) were ranked? My apology if already posted. Thanks.

Robinson didn't do such a bad job afterall

With other teams being updated (I assume), we are back down to the #52 class, FWIW.

You got the right number for a reason you didn't state. In the fine print of the FAQ answer:

"To calculate the Rivals Rating points, go to your team's commitment list, sort the list by Rivals Rating, starting with the highest value. Then, sum up the points for the top 20 commitments using the scale above."

Robinson could recruit. But, as has been pointed out here many times, most of the top recruits were guys who never actually ended up playing for Syracuse.

I stated it in another reply to you earlier that they use top 20.

That's a myth started by a few that said it so many times it has become lore. There were 2. Baskin who never qualified and Pierce who had the life threatening health issue.

Where would you place Averin Collier? David Legree? Richard Abney...Andray Baskin...Matt Reid...JOnathan Meldrum...Jamere Knox...The big WR from Utica whose name escapes me...

Excellent news here, just excellent, really excited to see Rodney, Nas, and Erv in the coming years.

Anything positive about GROB and what he did here is just shining a turd. Even a blind squirrel gets a nut occasionally. So he brought in a few players he had to bring 20-25 kids every year, bound to have a few keepers.
