OT: Father in the running for COY

Hoov, we gave it hell but it appears 4th place is it. I'm tapping out for the night so barring some surge before I get to work @ 8am it seems that's where he'll end up.

I had to fade out the last couple hours. New employee = lots of forms.

4th gets his school something right?

Either way, congrats to your dad, Hoov!

IO- you're a voting beast, man!!

Its down to .6% I am had my paralegal spend the last hour of her work doing internet surfing and voting on this for me. How long does the voting last?

Well shoot, it was sticking at .7 for about an hour straight so I figured it was done and dusted but I've got 2 hours of work left and apperently the cavalry has arrived so I'll get back to it.

National Voting: Beginning at 12:00 p.m. (E.T.) Oct. 21, 2013 and ending at 12:00 p.m. (E.T.) Oct. 29, 2013, all eligible voters may submit votes by going to http://contest.usatodayhss.com/ and vote for one of the 8 high school football coaches..

Don't y'all get defeatist.. it's not over until high noon on Tuesday.

I was thinking it was noon tomorrow. Amazing how having a young child at home makes you lose track of days/weeks/months/etc.

.25 % difference now! Hope Coach Hoover benches any kid whose family isn't making that site their second home. :)

not so, as soon as we passed them they picked up the pace again.

they can put up numbers in a hurry like they did in the beginning

I don't usually post things like this and will take the brunt of any complaints for "clogging up the board," however I was hoping to recruit some of the Syracusefan nation to vote for my father, Jim Hoover. He is one of 8 nationwide finalists for the USA Today HS coach of the year. Of course it is just a popularity contest, but still would be cool for him to have a good showing. He has been coaching at the same high school (Walton) for close to 40 years and is 2 wins away from 300. When he reaches that milestone he will be one of only 5 coaches in NYS to have 300+ wins.

If you are willing to vote or share the link via Facebook/Twitter here it is: http://contest.usatodayhss.com/vote/bestcoach2013/final

If not simply ignore this post.
Hoov, I think either you & I have met before or I met your dad or both you and your dad? My son and I attended a game at Bishop Ludden when the Mike Hart led OCS Tigers took on the Galic Knights.

I attended quite a few OCS games when Hart was playing both just to watch and scout. However, I don't remember for sure going to a Ludden-OCS game but it is entirely possible! I thought I was too young for memories to all flow together!
