Only for those worthy of recognition...so you have nothing to worry about.Do you have an "enemies list" a la Nixon?
You don't get to pick and choose what you want exposed to the media and fans and it's ludicrous to even expect that.
You do realize that a lack of disclosure on specifics in regards to injuries could have to do with HIPAA regulations?
If Syracuse as a University makes their entire organization subject to HIPAA, then coaches cannot disclose specifics on injuries because it is a breach of confidentiality in regards to the player.
I'm not sure if Syracuse has done that, but if they have, then Shafer can't disclose specifics, regardless of what you feel you're entitled to as a fan.
It's weird that you hear about player injuries every hour on other teams, they must all be breaking HIPAA laws and I see it's made these programs get in a lot of trouble.
Name calling, you wonder why I called you classless that's cute. Anyway enjoy your live, I'm sure you have kittens to punch or flowers to stop on!!!
False you told me and my children to join the swim team. Trust me I never want to see you lol.Actually you started with the name calling by saying "classless" when I didn't call you a name. Nice try though. See you next Saturday.
It's not that they are breaking HIPAA, it's that their institutions have not identified the entire university as being subject to HIPAA. Some do, some don't. Kansas St. is specifically mentioned in that article I linked as one that does. They give very generic information. I'm not sure if Syracuse has done that, but there are schools that definitely have.
I guess my question is what is he wrong about. All 3-0s aren't created equally. There are plenty of concerns with this team. Even in basketball when we were 25-0 there were concerns that came true not far after that.

If this team went undefeated and won the championship. You would prob find something to complain about.
3-0 is 3-0. You r what your record says you r.
If it pisses you off have your kids join the swim team.
We're a D1 football team in a P5 conference. If we're that sensitive answering questions about injuries then maybe we should move to DII.
This is big time football. Give me a break.

If you hear about injuries from every other team, they are breaking the law. Just can't do it. I really don't think every school does do that. Later in the week, they will tell us who is available. It isn't our right to know because we root for a team. It's weird that you hear about player injuries every hour on other teams, they must all be breaking HIPAA laws and I see it's made these programs get in a lot of trouble.
Sorry buddy I am not going anywhere. I have not created a strawman I am not letting a narrative that this 3-0 start was unexpected and should be the main point in the PC. JB can abuse the media if he chooses to do as he is a HOF and has earned that. SS has not earned ANY BENEFIT of the doubt.Scott Shaffer has yet to abuse the media the way JB does after almost every game. You've simply created yet another strawman that you can hide behind while you criticize this staff.
Do us a favor and take your negative BS elsewhere.
You really think it is a fan's right to know what a college player's injuries are? And judging from the picture where Eric is outside the Dome, by himself, I would guess he is going to be just fine.I have an 18 year odl so I know how we parents still think of them as "kids." But the blunt truth s that these college "kids" are adults. Students yes but they are adults and it is D1 football. Answer the questions coach.
Thanks for the tip to join the swim team. We are not ND, thank God and everything Holy. I played football up through D2, yeah sorry not P5 D1 big boys. During my years of playing not once did any of my coaches think about being specific about an injury. You are classless in the way you act on this board. You have no right to tell me to go join the swim team or my childern. My opinion is if a coach would issue a statement about my child's injury I would be pissed. Clearly I should have them join the swim team and I should be on it with them, correct?
JB hasn't earned the right to be rude simply because he has won basketball games. I believe that his actions at such events have led us to be investigated twice and punished twice. Never pick your fights with guys that buy their ink in 20 gallon vats.Sorry buddy I am not going anywhere. It's the way you come across. I'm posting my opinion on something. You have trouble forming a good reason for allowing injury reports to say whatever. So you just say the first "funny" thing that poops into your head. How's that in insult? It'd probably be in their best interest to get mom from being so worried.
So exactly what do you think the school should say with regards to eric?In sports you can say "Player A has a bum knee and won't be playing for the rest of the year". You just can't go into specific medical details and that's exactly what the law says.
