Who do you guys propose will start if Quincey even stays?
I'm with you on Marek. I could see Sid coming back if he feels like he can be healthy and finally get to play a full season as the man.I think Marek and Sidibe both forgo their extra year option. Q is a lock to start if he comes back.
The question really is does Benny start over AG. AG seems like a possible super sub who comes and can play the 2, 3 or 4. Kadary starts with Buddy. Joe is the 7th man.
I can’t see any of the above playing the 5.. so hopefully Frank steps up
Go man to man, start Kadary, Buddy, Griff, Benny, and Quincy with Woody as the 6th man. Everybody between 6’5 and 6’8. Switch every screen. We’ll be cutting edge, doing what everybody in the NBA is doing, and we’ll be like that Flyin’ Illini team that beat us in the ‘89 elite 8, where seemingly the whole team was about 6’6.

Gotta enjoy having the options!! Seems like it's been a minute.I'd love to bring everyone back, and then add Benny.
Lots of things could happen, and wouldn't surprise me:
1, wouldn't surprise me if Guerrier makes the full sophomore leap and enters the draft
2, wouldn't surprise me if Marek moves on, also wouldn't surprise me if he stays
3, same for Sidibe
Let's just say all 3 go.
Can you get decent center play between Frankie, Edwards and Bol Ajak? They'd need to improve, but yeah, I think they could get it done.
Can you get decent forward minutes out of Griffin, Woody, Benny and Big Bad Bobby "Earl" Braswell? Yeah, I think that's a really good group.
Basically I think even in our worst case scenario we can be good. If any of the 3 main guys come back, we're just that much deeper and nastier.
Q is a terrific college player (and old for his class), but based on his size im not sure where he fits in the NBA. He’s 6’7 220 which is absolutely the perfect size for an NBA 3. We’ve seen flashes of shooting, but he can’t really handle the ball. If he continues to be a monster on the glass you could make the case he can be a good rebounder/adequate shooter at the next level, but that’s it right now. I do believe he’ll start to shoot more in games and show off that he can make it from 3 consistently - but there aren’t many 6’7 NBA guys that can’t handle the ballI'd love to bring everyone back, and then add Benny.

C - Edwards or Sid if he returns
PF - Frank Marick probably leaving
SF - QG
SG - riffin
PG - Richmond
6th Buddy
7th JG
8th Woody
9th Benny
10th Ajak
Feel the team would be strong with this lineup and subs but it won’t happen. JB will continue to start Buddy no matter whether the team would be stronger with him off the bench.
He projects almost exactly like Oshae but betterYeah, I don't think it matters.
Not being glib. He doesn't have to be a prototype prospect to decide to go.
Not sure what frank will be next year. He was slotted to work at pf. Not going to get a lot of playing time this year. I’m worried we could loose all three centers to transfers. Once immediate eligibility happens kids are not going to sit. If JB continues a very short bench next year and beyond we will not have players stay. You can’t start two players who give you zero offense. It does not work like it did in 1995 or 2005 for the matter.

Yeah I’m with this. Just really hard to know what the roster will be. I’m not saying it would happen but it’s not entirely crazy to suggest that Sid, marek, griff and Guerrier could leave for a variety of reasons and bras and at least one big decide to go elsewhere.Impossible to say without knowing who's coming back, who might exploit this year being a free pass with eligibility, etc.
probably.Pretty safe to assume buddy, jgiii and kadary return
He seems like the kind of player that will be here three seasons. Next year he’ll really get a chance to develop his jumper and become an all American.Yeah, I don't think it matters.
