When you get players like Kingz or George, they have to be promised a starting position to come.

Then if you want high-quality talent behind them, you probably have to pay a little more than the market to get them to accept a lesser role.

And as we know from the football side. It’s not just meeting that number. But the comfortable range also factors in keeping others in the locking room satisfied with their deals in relative to what Deng role would be here.

Ok, so we still don’t have a single player projected to get minutes this year whose primary position is SF. Yes, Kingz will play there as will others, but they are either shooting guards or power forwards. Is there anyone else they are targeting at this point similar to deng?

Supposedly we were in touch with a small forward from Tarleton (sounds like a nerd school) and at one time someone mentioned Straughn was following a JUCO kid that was 6 foot 7 but he may have been a guard.

I thought we have a mess of NIL this season to get players who are asking for a lot. Let’s use it, even if we have to overpay. …No excuses unless they think they can find an equivalent player overseas or elsewhere in the portal.
