Possible Syracuse/Colorado Practice

I would legit travel to Colorado for this. Equally because of the destination and the football, but I would still travel for this.
I would consider it. It would be incredible. I have other personal reasons for visiting Boulder, but it may make it something I have to do.

I would think it’s very unlikely that this can be pulled off so quickly. It will be a major change to,the sport, and I would think that the NCAA would have to sign off on it.

But I hope it happens. It would make spring football 100% more interesting.

In my mind, Fran didn't even ask JW he just saw it and then tweeted. Please don't rain on this parade if you know the real truth.
I’m just imagining administrators in SUAD and maybe even university reaction. “Fran signed us up to do what now” lol. Maybe this actually is a thing being planned already (perhaps why our spring practice game isn’t being televised) and the Deion comment and the Fran tweet is apart of some way to draw interest to an actual announcement.

While I tend to agree with you regard to the NCAA, I am also thinking SCREW THE NCAA, and just freaking do it.

Time is certainly short to pull something like this off. But, John Wildhack and Rick George (Colo AD) are two guys with contacts that could actually make this happen.

The Colorado spring game is scheduled for April 19th. With a few adjustments this could work.

- Delay the start of spring football a few days so we don’t complete our 15 practices until April 19th. Start on the 24th instead of the 21st. Travel to Boulder on April 17th, and move the last two practices to April 18th and 19th in Boulder.

- Leave all of the activities already scheduled for April 12 in the Dome and the Quad, but instead of a “spring game” invite fans to an open practice which would likely be a scrimmage in the Dome.

In Coach Prime’s first year in Boulder (2023) they sold out the spring game and played in the snow. Last year they played in the rain in front of more than 28,000 fans. If we went to Boulder for a joint practice (like the NFL) and a scrimmage (spring game), do you think it would sell out?

No way would the ncaa go against Deon. He is marketing gold and prints money. Fran in a smaller market is very similar to Dion. The two parties want to do this then only a foolish organization would stop it.

Currently, the rules specifically state it’s illegal to play another team in the spring. I doubt they will make any exceptions.

yes weed is legal there
Well no, I have never done an illegal drug in my life, believe it or not. I was thinking more of visiting my friend, who committed suicide a few years ago's grave and memorial bench.

Team? It’s just a conglomeration of independent contractors.

A team would suggest they are employees, isn’t that something the NCAA wants to avoid?

If NCAA denies this, can’t players claim they are being blocked from NIL opportunities this would create? Or the schools can say this is an NIL recruiting event and NCAA has no ability to enforce anything.
