Post Brooklyn Beatdown

No. His poor coaching had us almost lose to LeMoyne Colgate and Youngstown. Refuses to play the best PG on the team. Wasting a great forward group of Donnie Jayre and Lampkin. I think he's held us back all 5 games.
I cannot wait to hear who you think is “ the best PG on the team.” Please enlighten us.

The delusional part is you thinking the SU brands carries the same weight it used to carry. That recruiting class was wildly overrated and necessitated a complete overhaul. Btw those fellas are really lighting it up so far in their new homes, eh?
Again, what does that have to do with this years team? Nothing.

Tennessee currently up 42 - 14 against #13 Baylor! I’m not looking forward to that game..

Sure, but I don’t buy it. You’re telling me Texas Tech can afford better players than us? It’s talent evaluation where we’re lacking. For some reason our coaches love one dimensional guys. These other teams find functional role players.
You're kidding, right? All of the Texas teams can easily outspend SU as they are willing and able.

It’s hard to quantify it exactly… but I just hate that “feeling” of even while the the last 2 games were close, just knowing the Orange weren’t gonna win. Those moments of cutting the lead to 3-5 points but knowing we aren’t going to get a defensive stop, the opponent is going to hit a 3, get an offensive rebound put back, hit their FT’s when we’re gonna miss ‘em in clutch time, etc.

I still get hyped, I still jump out of my seat & nervously walk around… but underlying that just knowing it’s gonna be an L. Maybe that’ll change this season, but 100% felt it for the Brooklyn games

Yet our football team is better than them?
The Texas money thing is way overstated for basketball. The longhorns get some top guys but the rest of the Texas schools are mediocre in basketball. If it’s just about money someone needs to explain schools like Marquette who have been trending up as we decline.

I certainly did not the last 2 nights.

Well, it is not JUST about money.

Marquette has a real coach not a fair comparison

Five years ago Texas Tech lost in OT in the national championship game.

Huh?

Poster made a comment about money, common sense tells you a Texas oil school has some cash.

Our NIL couldn't compete with Georgia, which is why we have problem #1.

Huh?

Texas Tech has more NIL money than us yet we’re better in football.

Explain that if NIL is the issue. We could have paid more for the Mt St Mary’s kid if we wanted. We chose a center

I think NIL is a problem for us right now but I think that is way down on the list and no way is our biggest issue.

And? How many D1 basketball schools are in Texas? How many of them have been truly nationally relevant? You can point to any data point over 5 years to try and make a point.

Yes there are richer football schools in NIL.

But lets look at KP
2. Gonzaga
7. Iowa St
10. St. John's
11. Cincy
12. Pitt
15. Marquette
21. Creighton

Perhaps NIL is going to keep us from our consistent period of elite play like 2009-2014 (or before), but it shouldn't always have us down either. There needs to be periods where we are very good.

I know we are still fairly new to NIL and it doesn't cover this long down period since 2014.

NIL sucks for the game. But, now we are just on the other side of things. We used to have a recruiting advantage with the Dome. Now we’re at a disadvantage. As Michael Scott would say, “Circle of life.”

They're 6-4. I have no idea if they're better than us.

Leffew got substantially more than we offered.
