They need 3 DL, 2 LB, 1 or 2 OL, another RB, another punter and another WR who has got skills.

That's 10 more guys, give or take. Then we'll see what we've got.
But right now, yeah, lots to be worried about.

DL departures create serious size/talent/depth issues. Here's a quick list of 2021 players. All three starting linemen are gone, with an additional 3 reserves graduating or transferring. Incoming players (so far) listed at the bottom - one an edge guy the other an interior guy. We could really use a run stopper/NG type 300+ and any quality depth we can acquire from the portal, (edit) JUCO or HS.

If we had held on to Roscoe for 1 more year and Rondi didn't leave, this wouldn't look too bad.

We need a couple grown men (JUCO or grad students) to plug into the middle of the line or we are roadkill next year.

I see more length and athelticism within the DL unit. They need to add more functional weight. The issue is lack of experience. We definitely need to add a couple of experienced transfers.

Teams are going to run the ball on us unless we add some beef. We are simply too light. I dont care what the scheme is we will get crushed without some help.

Yes. I agree. The staff have to find big experienced guys that can loop, stunt and re direct. You need big and explosive guys no matter what scheme it is. They are hard to find. Maybe the staff can find some via portal. If Achuff becomes the DL coach I will feel confident that he can coach the unit up. We were 21st in total defense. The DL did what they needed to do. We got gashed at times but that happens in any defense. We did have a 5'11 270 pound FCS player become 1st team Acc.
