This is a tough game despite their struggles being at their place. I think they perform a lot differently in the 2 bad games they've had vs WVU and FSU if they were at home.

THAT SAID... if our freakin D gets shredded by them again with their QB issues they will be dead to me and I never want to hear a thing about any of these guys getting drafted. Im confident because our D can't be worse than they were last year when they let that overrated QB have the game of his career. This is a matchup like the Maryland game apart from the fact that they do not have a QB theres still talent on the roster its probably a good thing we aren't going in there ranked. Would be nice to see more from our returning WRs. I think the fans will like the playcalling a lot more this week on offense Devito can be counted on to make some big plays and throws and put up points.

Where do you put Pitt or Duke in that hierarchy? For Wake, their schedule gets much tougher in the next few weeks, so we should know how good they really are before we play them

NC State isn't good. People on this board are too cautious about this game. Some are calling it a toss up. This isn't a toss up. Western Michigan would run them off of the field. Syracuse should be the favorite in Raleigh.

That's because I think last year was only the first or second time we've beat them EVER, and we are playing them on the road. The way the offensive line is playing, we can't count on beating anyone, period.

They lead the all-time series 10-2. We beat them on the road in 2013 with Terrell Hunt and then last year. It's just been a weird series with them over the years. They beat us in both 1997 and 1998 when we were Top 15 and they were unranked.

Cant believe I left them off. Prob same tier as the bulk of us. Pitt can’t run, but is passing better than I thought they could. Their young D is a Narduzzi D (can be had, but he’s a good DC). Duke - I honestly haven’t watched them live as the VaTech mauling was not good TV.

Doesn't look like they have #1 option cover corner. They either get home fast or they get burnt.

Presume we'll do some things with out TE's as well to offset pass rushers IE if we can't block them throw to where their LB isn't when he plays the run fit.

Both teams probably look at this game as a chance to get the season back on track. 4-2 with a win away from the Dome and I think we all feel ok about where we are heading and seeing improvement.

Hard to tell if NC State is any good this year. As always they played some absolute cupcakes at home in Western Carolina/Ball St/ECU (ECU is supposed to be really bad this year). They did play WV on the road but WV does not look to be very strong this season and they handled State easily as did FSU.

This one is big for both schools as 4-2 would have both teams feeling pretty good about themselves. NC State fans will be out in full force for the primetime game on a Thursday night. Should be a fun atmosphere. Hopefully our o line is up for the task and gives Tommy time to throw.

Pretty sure their last primetime Thursday game with the crazy crowd they shat the bed against Wake and it's 8th string QB last year. So hopefully that will hold true again this year.

I don't know that it skewed it. It's not like we had 5 starters out on D for that game. It was a stinker and it counts in the stat book.
